About this listen

Sparks may fly in the bedroom, but fire always brings destruction.

Golden Beach firefighter, Lieutenant Michael Oliver, has everything he wants - a beautiful wife, a job he loves, and a future that finally looks bright after years of darkness. Until one day a surprise from his past shows up, throwing everything he'd finally recovered from back in his face.

Lena Shirakawa married the man of her dreams in an impulsive Vegas wedding. As a free-spirited and highly sought-after travel photographer, being the wife of a firefighter who wants her to settle down isn't easy. Especially when her job takes her all over the world for months at a time.

When Lena's deep-rooted fears take hold, the damage is done and divorce seems the only option. But Michael won't give up, even if it means risking everything to keep her.

Great Love

I loved this book. Wonderfully believable characters with all the doubt and love leading to a happy-ever-after ending. The narration was perfect giving life and personality to each character. I very highly recommend this book.

Ugh! A different narrator for the lead male.

I've enjoyed this series. The male narrator is so different from the rest of the series.

Incredibly Beautiful

There is something about the way Kim Loraine writes that completely enraptures me. This series has taken me in from the first book, but I have to say that this one had me in every emotion I could think of. I am not a person who gets all wrapped up in the feelings, I listen to the story and enjoy. This one I was physically happy and sad and I had to keep the earbuds in to find out how things were going to turn out. This is story of Michael Oliver, firefighter,(of course he is hot, he is a firefighter) and Lena Shirakawa(beautiful photographer). The two have an incredibly fast wedding and are off to really now get to know each other. So many twists and unexpected things happen to this couple, you cannot help but feel for both of them. I don't want to give anything of the story away, but the two together are explosive and apart are gut-wrenching. I love that the supporting cast are characters we have met in previous books, but I have to say, Mitchell is the one who really stole my heart. What a cute little boy caught in the most unfortunate of circumstances. Thank you Kim for giving us this story, your talent is truly amazing.

Will M Watt and Susan Fouche are the dual narrating team of this book, and have fast become one of my favorite teams. I think their portrayal really brought the true value of the emotions felt in this story. Look forward to hearing more of their narrations,

Solid story with one hiccup.

Enjoyed the story.

The male narrator’s female voice was tough to swallow. However, his male voice was spot on!
Female narrator rocked it!

Love these narrators!

Audiobooks are such a toss-up for me! The narrators make it or break an otherwise amazing book. This book is awesome and the narrators did such a great job! I wasn't annoyed by their voices :)

Lena. Michael. Need I say more?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. The duet narration is so easy on the ears, making the story that much more enjoyable.

What other book might you compare Redemption to and why?

I'd recommend the other books in Kim Loraine's Golden Beach series. It's like checking in on your favorite characters.

Which scene was your favorite?

The opening scene is my favorite. I've read it over and over.
Within minutes of listening to that scene you get to really know Lena and Michael's personalities.

Redemption

Holy cow such a great story! I laughed, cried and even wanted to throw my phone (but never would lol) with aggravations in this book. So much happens and I am still speechless at how wonderful this series is becoming. Every book is bettter than the last!

<3 Michael and Lena

Kim Loraine is a new author to me and i was so glad to be able to listen to Redemption on audio! i absolutely loved Will Watt and Susan Fouche as narrators, they did a stellar job at all the characters' voices and really brought the book to life. This book is part of the Golden Beach series but each are standalone. However, since i jumped into the series with this book, there were a few things that i wanted more details about that were probably part of previous books. But the storyline is great and i definitely want to read more. At some points in the books, i went through stages with Michael...being mad at him, then feeling bad for him, then falling in love with him. I just got so invested in both Michael and Lena. I don't see too many asian heroines so that was such a nice surprise for me and i loved it! Now I am going to go back and read the other books in the series but start from the beginning this time! =)

Complicated

This was my first book by this author. I got the impression these characters were introduced in previous books. Still, it was a stand alone. Lena and Michael go through a lot of complications. This story has plenty of twists and turns.
