About this listen

With duet narration by Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter. A sexy, single-dad romance stand-alone.

Don’t sleep with the nanny.

That should be a simple rule to follow, but some things are easier said than done.

Especially when the nanny I hire to take care of my wild child daughter turns out to be the one I can’t forget. The woman I shared a red-hot anonymous kiss with a few weeks ago when we were trapped in an elevator? Yeah, seems she’s one and the same - sweet, sexy, irresistible Daisy.

When she shows up in town, fresh-faced and ready to care for my kid, it hits me like a kick from a stubborn mare. I’m in way over my head.

I’ve been fantasizing about seeing my elevator woman again. And now I’m seeing her every damn day at the breakfast table, or at the playground with my adorable daughter. Daisy is exactly what my little girl needs. But every day I spend with Daisy makes me want her more, only I can't have her. I won’t risk breaking the unbreakable rule to take a chance at love.

Until the night I do.

Hawk Will Melt You

Pretty much anything written in the Ryker Ranch world with cowboys calling their ladies darlin' has me hooked. We've gotten the Ryker's stories, we've gotten most of the Wild boys, and now we're getting a taste of the Langston's, so there is no shortage of swoon worthy cowboys. Narrated by Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter, this story revolves around Hawk and his daughter, Carly, who is in need of a nanny. In walks Daisy, Lark's (from Ignite) best friend to save the day. With the perfect amount of angst for the situation, solid character development, a bit of what felt like a slow burn, and some seriously spicy moments (that required multiple listens), Hawk and Daisy's story just really captured me. A couple scenes felt a little out of order, some scenes felt like they had real purpose, but then never came to fruition, and that was a little bit of a let down. However, there were predictable ways the author could have taken the story, but she didn't, so I felt like that made it all right with me.

Like a Beloved Tune

This is my first Kim Lorraine book, and I have to say that I am hooked. I grew up reading my mom's Diana Palmer, Sandra Brown and Linda Lael Miller cowboy novels and this one scratched that familiar itch. I love that the characters are modern, respectful, intelligent, kind and that there wasn't a high amount of unnecessary drama.

Stella Hunter does an excellent job of giving a unique voice to each of the female characters, and does a great job voicing the sweet little 4 year old Carly. Jason Clarke is always excellent, and does a great job of giving Hawk depth of character.

I am definitely going to keep coming back to this book as it was easy to love the characters, and I look forward to listening to the other characters stories.

Love a sexy cowboy!

As the first book in another spinoff series from Kim Loraine, An Irresistible Chance is the swoony and steamy story of the charming and irresistible single father Hawk Langston and Daisy, his new nanny. If you are a fan of Kim Loraine’s Montana ranching families the Rykers, the Wilde’s and the Langstons then you will love seeing some favorite characters from previous books and look forward to hearing the stories of the rest of the Langston siblings. These series are relatively low angst, plenty of romance and steam, and more heartwarming family relationships than you can shake a stick at. I will read/listen to as many books in this Montana world as Kim will write and be totally satisfied. Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter were perfection in this duet style narration and I can’t get enough of this combustible combination. Well done!!

The swoon makes your heart melt!

My heart is full. Can Kim Loraine´s Cowboys become any swoonier? Yes, they can. Hawk Langston is proof. He must be the sweetest dad to the cutest little troublemaker. Every time I finish one of Kim’s books, I have a big happy smile on my face. Sparks & Swoons are flying left, right and centre and you cannot but fall in love with all these characters.

One unforgettable steamy kiss in an elevator sends Hawk and Daisy into a tailspin of feelings and leads them to take an irresistible chance. Hawk by hiring her as a Nanny for his daughter Carly to get some more stability into her life and Daisy wanting a fresh start leaving her sorrows behind. Their attraction is tested daily as both are trying not to give in to temptation. Hawk because he is Daisy´s boss and does not want to disrupt the bond she is building with his daughter and Daisy because she does not want to get hurt again if it does not work out.

Taking us on this very swoony auralicious journey in Duet narration are Stella Hunter and Jason Clarke. Stella Hunter portrays Daisy´s kind, passionate, caring persona perfectly and I am in love with her Carly voice as it’s too freaking adorable. Jason Clarke, I was not prepared for all the “Darlins” he growled and whispered in this irresistible southern drawl and OMG, the way he says “Button” to his daughter as Hawk made my heart melt.

Expect a lot of heart-warming moments, touching scenes, lush hot heat, flirty fun banter, swoony handsome cowboys, caring dependable family and friends and a sassy, cute as a button, 4-year old.

Perfect Narration

HOT! HOT! HOT! I've been waiting to get my hands on this one and it I enjoyed every second of it. Hawk Langston is a dream come true - hot, cowboy, single-dad. == He is loyal, hardworking, and s**y. Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter were pure perfection in their narration of Hawk and Daisy. Anytime I find myself listening to a book narrated by Stella or Jason, I am amazed by their talent to bring so much individuality to their characters. You completely forget you are listening to them and become completely consumed by the characters they are playing. The level of emotion they brought to Daisy and Hawk's characters was fantastic.

Daisy Capshaw left her old life behind and moved to Montana to accept a job as a nanny. During a pit stop on the way to Montana, Daisy shares an intimate moment with a s** cowboy in an elevator. Since the encounter that's all she has thought about. Accepting that she will never see him again, Daisy arrives at her destination only to come face to face with none other than the sexy elevator stranger - her new boss, Hawk Langston.

The chemistry between Hawk and Daisy was intense. The amount of restraint they both displayed was pretty strong. I don't know if I couldn't been that strong, but I understood where both Hawk and Daisy were coming from. Hawk's priority was Carly and although Daisy's priority was also Carly she had also been burned in the past before and she vowed to not allow herself to make the same mistake. She liked her new life in Montana and she didn't want to jeopardize anything that would cost her to leave sooner than later.

I truly love the world Kim Loraine has created with the Langstons, Wildes and Rykers. I love how they are all coming together and interacting in family events, celebrations and much more. These books are so much more than passion and chemistry. They are about family and friends. About love and finding your way home.

I'm already looking forward to the next one.

An Irresistible Story with flawless narration!

An Irresistible Chance by Kim Loraine narrated in duet by Jason Clarke and Stella Hunter is a fun, sweet and sexy story about a single dad/cowboy falling for his daughters nanny.

Hawk Langston is in over his head after Carly’s mom up and leaves, struggling to be all that she needs as well as look after the ranch. He needs help, so when he hears about Lark’s friend Daisy who has experience working with children is coming to town, he knows she may just be perfect for the job. The one thing he didn’t anticipate is the attraction and chemistry the two would share. I really enjoyed the forbidden aspect of the story. They try so hard to keep a professional relationship but the moment they give in it is scorching hot! So much fiery passion between them. I couldn't get enough. I also loved the connection and special friendship Daisy formed with Carly. Her little heart is fragile after her mom leaving and Daisy is just what she needed to mend it making her feel loved, cherished and protected.

Jason Clarke’s voice portrays Hawk’s southern cowboy drawl perfectly. Nobody says darlin’ quite like he does! I loved the duet style narration between he and Stella Hunter. I love how versatile her voice is. Sweet, and sassy one moment and fun and playful the next. Her voice of Daisy was terrific but also her kid voice was so authentic as well, playing the sweet voice of Hawk’s daughter Carly. The two together brought the story and characters to life beautifully!

Swoony Cowboy Romance

I don’t know how Kim does it but her cowboys keep getting swoonier and Hawk is definitely her most swooniest one yet. Hawk is a single dad and in need of a nanny and Daisy is looking to start over in a new town as a nanny for Hawk. Their chemistry is immediate and neither of them can deny. I love how adorable Hawk and his daughter Carly are and how perfectly Daisy fits in with their family. This book was swoony and sweet and Kim makes it impossible not to fall in love with these characters.

The audiobook was perfection. Jason was incredibly swoony as Hawk and Stella was perfect as Daisy, she impresses me more and more with each book. Jason and Stella together was audiobook magic performed in duet. This is definitely a required listen for all Jason, Stella and Kim fans.
