Publisher's summary

It's a long-awaited homecoming—but not everyone's happy about her return.

Five years ago, Tilly Taylors father did something that cost her everything. Her home. Her friends. And all the trust she'd ever earned. Now she's back, and ready to prove to everyone that she's nothing like Martin Taylor. Unfortunately, the small town of Misty Peak doesn't forgive or forget so easily. And when a murder occurs at Tilly's new workplace, proving her innocence gets even harder.

Kayden Walker likes his solitude. That's why working in the mountains suits him so well. They're his sanctuary. His safe place. So when a woman he doesn't trust is hired to work alongside him, its an adjustment he doesn't want to make. Only, no matter how much he tries to keep Tilly at a safe distance, he cant seem to get her sad green eyes out of his head. Despite their families' unfortunate history, Kayden finds himself playing savior to the last woman he should want to protect.

When dangerous things continue happening in his mountains, keeping her close becomes vital—for Tilly's safety and for Kayden's heart. Someone doesn't want her home—and they'll go to great lengths to make sure she's gone.

Loved this!

Reckless Trust is book #2 in the Reckless series. Tillie has come back to Misty Peak with a less than stellar reception. Her father stole from the community and she is paying the price. Her job at the Visitor Center is causing problems for Kayden. He wants to despise her because she's the last person he should be attracted to. But he is feeling super protective over her, even when she doesn't want or like it. This story is filled with lots of suspense and intrigue that makes this binge-worthy. The sexy SAR team is back in action with a little teaser at the end for the next book!

The narration was terrific. Jason Clarke is such a good grumpy, broody voice for Kayden. Avery Caris delivered the shy, wary Tillie. 5/5 stars for this dynamic duo!

Tilly & Kayden!

It happens every time I listen to Nyssa Kathryn. I am completely captivated and lose sleep just so I can hear what happens next! This is a fantastic, action packed, romantic suspense. First off, we have Tilly, coming home to Misty Peaks after the death of her mother. They had left town after her father had a ponzi scheme in town, leaving the community broke including his own family. Now she is back facing the ridicule and reputation of his actions. Kayden's family is one that was effected and at first, he too felt that anger towards Tilly, but quickly comes to realize she was not to blame. And while all this is going on, there is a robbery and a murder on the mountain! Of course there is speculation. Is Tilly back to help her father? Could there be a connection between the murder and Tilly? As their relationship struggles to get off the ground, more danger is lurking.Who is doing this? This is a roller coaster of a ride that is for sure! Tilly is a strong woman, able to let the disdain from others roll off her back for the most part. Her love for Kayden helps her through. Kayden is a tough one, not trusting easily, and he finds it hard to follow his heart. Add in his brothers and co-workers and it's a blast getting to know all the people in this small town. And I adore his niece! Can't wait to her the next one, sure to win my heart again.

Avery Caris and Jason Clarke are the narrators for this story and all I can say is WOW. Caris is amazing at keeping Tilly's emotions balanced. She is so strong and has so much to give, with Caris using her voice to bring it all out. Clarke is the frustrating yet undeniably easy to love Kayden. He gives him all the confusion, anger and love that makes this man real. I loved this pairing and can't wait to hear them together in the future.

Engaging story about hope, trust, new beginnings

With this audiobook we are back in Misty Peak where the Walker brothers are finding love when least expected.
Tilly Taylor’s dad embezzled the residents of Misty Peak five years ago leaving many almost destitute. Shocked and hurt by what her husband did, Tilly’s mom moved away. Five years have gone by and when her mom dies, Tilly returns to the only place she called home as a child and the place her mom loved most. But few people have been kind to her as they believe she is just as guilty as her dad.
Kayden Walker might just be one of those that is resentful of Tilly. Especially since she’s been hired at his place of business. But as Kayden gets to know her and sees the injustices done to her, Kayden realizes Tilly is not to blame and a sort of friendship develops as well as feelings.
But what happens when Kayden believes the thin veil of trust he’s started to have with Tilly, is torn? What happens when the danger intensifies? Will Kayden realize his mistakes and be able to save Tilly?
This engaging story was about trust, hope, family and new beginnings.
The narrations of Avery Caris and Jason Clarke brought the story to life.
Making this another wonderful story by this talented author.

KAYDEN & TILLY'S BEAUTIFULLY BROKEN STORY

WOW....in pure Nyssa Kathryn fashion, Reckless Trust was even better than Reckless Hope! In fact, I'll go so far as to say that Kayden and Tilly's story is the best book Nyssa has ever written. Avery Caris and Jason Clarke do a tremendous job in bringing this awesome, heart-wrenching story to life!

It so painfully illustrates how broken trust can totally decimate relationships....whether between friends, spouses, and parents with their children. My heart hurt for Tilly and all she had to overcome. The meanness of many of the townspeople of Misty Peak was just vicious - part of Nyssa's magic when it comes to world building in her stories.

Kayden and Tilly's HEA comes, but it's hard work to get there and you simply don't want to miss this awesome story in the Reckless series. I'm so looking forward to the rest of the Walker brothers' stories!

Love this!!!

Reckless Trust is book two in the Reckless series by Nyssa Kathryn.

Tropes:
• Small town
• Second chance
• Former military
• Alpha protector

Kayden and Tilly give us an epic love story but we knew they would. From the first book in this series, we knew once they got together, it would be fireworks!

Tilly is very determined and confident and seeing her and Kayden work towards each other as more than friends is intriguing. Kayden of course, fights it because he doesn’t want to have these feelings, he is experiencing with her but she has no plans of letting go.

Join Kayden and Tilly is Misty Peak and watch as they both steer their lives and relationship to a wonderful place.
Nyssa Kathryn does it again with her romantic suspense books. If you haven’t read any of her books before now, you are truly missing out. Be sure to grab book 1 and all of her other series she has!

An Amazing & Mesmerizing Story & Listen🎧

Nyssa Kathryn blows me away with another amazing novel “Reckless” series, a romantic suspense that keeps you thinking and brings you to the edge of your seat. The story grabbed my attention, captivating it the entire time, and nothing around me mattered except what was going to happen next. Matilda “Tilly” Taylor returned to her childhood home in Misty Peak after her mother’s passing, and she wanted the comfort of home and the memories it brought her. She and her mom left after her father, Martin, scammed and stole from locals who gave them grief. Neither she nor her mother was involved or aware of his scheme, yet they blamed them too and several of them still do and give Tilly a hard time making her feel like an outcast. Kayden Walker’s dad was one of Martin Taylor’s victims and he lost everything, including their childhood home, so he finds it difficult to not hate on his daughter, who he needs to see at work. Kayden had trust issues to begin with, but his walls crumple when he sees how Tilly is being treated by the other townsfolk. I loved how everything played out in this book, also loved the depth and all the layers of this story, as well as the complexity of the characters. As always, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. The chemistry between them is smoking hot, and I thought they were great together and for each other. Besides the relationship drama and the hate she is dealing with, there is a murder investigation going on, a murder that hit close to home and then her father who is on the run tries to reach out to her after not speaking to him for over five years. This exciting and action packed romantic suspense has the perfect balance of heart and heat. Nyssa Kathryn, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Avery Caris and Jason Clarke deliver an outstanding performance, bringing the characters to life, humanizing them, giving each a voice that was fitting to their personality and demeanor. I loved how they owned their roles, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. Caris’ Tilly was perfection and Clarke was just as amazing as Kayden, and both were equally wonderful in performing the roles of the secondary characters, too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These mega talented voice artists are entertaining storytellers and their performance elevated this already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Great Romance Suspense

Nyssa is a new author to me. I listened to the first book of this series and was hooked. This second book did not disappoint. Tilly moved back to a town where everyone hated her because of the wrong doings of her father. Kayden is one of those that has hurt feelings against Tilly because his family lost a lot. This story is so emotional. Get the tissue ready because it will pull at all your heart strings. I felt so sorry for Tilly. When there is a murder and some robberies, the town feels there is only one person to blame. I loved the suspense and being shocked when you find out all the secrets. This audiobook was narrated by Jason Clarke and Avery Caris. These two were phenomenal with the acting in this book. Avery captured all the hurt and sadness with Tilly, the emotions were so strong. Jason channeled Kayden’s grumpiness to perfection.
