About this listen

I really am no longer human.

Fresh out of the egg, a young blue dragon, eldest of his clutch, finds himself thrust into the fast-paced and cutthroat world of dragons. As he and his younger siblings navigate a series of tests under the watchful eyes of their parents, he grapples with memories of another life and comes to learn more about himself—and the power that makes dragons the most feared creatures on the planet.

Meanwhile, as a do-or-die rite of passage looms on the horizon, another threat grows: the humans are on the move…

Can't wait for book 2!!

Great storyline. This is a wonderful rendition of what it would be like to be a dragon, at least from my inexperienced self. The other dragons had varied and lively personalities and the description of the world has left me yearning for more. Thanks again for the code, Mr author! I didn't realize how much I missed "reading" dragon books.

Worth the wait and every penny!

Have been following Simo for a while and looking forward to the audiobook. Was not disappointed! The story is awesome, the characters are believable, and I hope there’s more to come! If there was only one thing I would change, sometimes the lady narrator is hard to understand when she goes high pitched for the girl dragons. Overall I can’t wait for the next one to come out! Please Audible and Simo, take my money!

Narrators could be better

The narrators can come off as flat or boring, especially the male narrator. I've been a fan of the story for a long time, so I'll probably get the next book.

Been following this title for awhile, and seeing it put into audio is gratifying.

The story, while not focusing on the reincarnation aspect or previous life of our MC does accentuate what and who our character is now and is becoming based off that initial experience and realization. Now the follow up on this is that it won’t really feel like a reincarnation story until later on in the series, but regardless of that what we are left with is a story following a dragon going from hatchling to greatness which was why I was here anyway.

The performance, overall the narration was well done, though some of the female dragons were a little higher but otherwise no complaints, and the roars oh man, I’ll always love em cause it’ll always make me chuckle with the thought of grown adult in closed room recording themselves roaring into a microphone.

Can’t wait for the next one. Mmmmmm, dargon.

Pretty Good

This was an enjoyable little story and felt fairly accurate to how one might think a dragon's life would be like. It was, however disappointing short. I felt like it was only an introduction to a book instead of a full one. All the same, I am looking forward to the sequel, even though the MC is the most mumbly man alive. Seriously, when he isn't mumbling to himself, he is "inwardly mumbling." I'm pretty sure that is just called "thinking." And then he also "inwardly wonders." Is there an "outwardly wonder" then? That would a question. No need to state that "wondering" is internal.
