About this listen

The New York Times bestselling author of Almost There delivers the start of a new rom-com series with an enemies-to-lovers romance, perfect for fans of Abby Jimenez and Jasmine Guillory.

Ashanti Wright is thrilled over the success of her doggie daycare, Barkingham Palace. But handling the business and taking care of her teen twin sisters is a lot. And now that the antics of her adorable French bulldog and poodle bestie are blowing up on social media, things are even more chaotic than usual. And they only get worse when the world’s worst dog hater shows up.

Thad Sims is not a dog person. He’s barely a person’s person. But after his grandmother is transferred to a senior living facility that doesn’t accept pets, the former army officer agrees to care for her annoying standard poodle, and his first move is taking Puddin’ out of daycare.

Now Ashanti’s beloved Duchess is bereft of her companion, social media is outraged, and Ashanti’s business is hanging in the balance. Her only option is to make nice with the surly, sexy Thad at all costs. But it’s gonna take a tiara-wearing Frenchie, a well-dressed poodle, and a whole lotta treats to teach these humans a few new tricks about falling in love.

Fun and Refreshing!!

Ashanti and Thad were a couple I think people can relate to. Ashanti devoted her life to raising her sisters after the death of her parents and opened a doggie daycare to help support them all. Thad was a little mean at first having to the responsibility of his aunt’s dog. In the end all was well!! The story is fun and the narrator is awesome!! Overall great book!!

Great Read!!

Always love a good RomCom, that doesn’t have one of those scene where the couple goes through one of those Hallmark movie scenes of hardship. This is great.

Muss Frances . . . .

I loved the book as a whole. The narration was spot on. But Miss Frances. . . that old girl is a true gangster (lmbo). Our elderfolk knew how to get things done. Miss Frances, she gets you together and keeps you laughing

Cute Story with a HEA

The story was great and I love that the author allowed for conflict that was reasonable throughout the book. The female narrator did an amazing job. However, the male narrator’s approach could use a bit more finesse. Thankfully, the story outweighed this slight distraction.

Surprised by Low Rating

I almost missed out on a nice romantic comedy because of the low rating. I'm glad I read the 2 lowest reviews and saw their problems wouldn't be my problem because this was a fun loving story, about good people AND the low reviewers were VERY much exaggerating their issues.

New Male Reader Needed

The story was good, but the male reader was not enjoyable. Most of the time he sounded like he was reading - not performing. Made it hard to listen at times.

The cursing for no reason.

Too much cursing in my ear. A little is okay. This book has too much. The guys voice is also annoying. Not nice in my ear.

Nice characters

This is a cute story even though you can figure out the ending within the first hour. The men do all of the cursing which is not needed. My issue with the book is the very explicit sex scenes. Explicit sex scenes are not appealing to me. The book would have been fine if they were cut. I have never read a book by Farrah Rochon and I will not be reading any of her other books.
