Publisher's summary
He's Rivermint Cove's most eligible bachelor—and I’m the awkward librarian. He’s also, inconveniently, my best friend’s brother.
What started out as an innocent blind date ended in Nate blurting out that we were engaged and asking me to play along.
So, I did what any logical bookworm would do: I dove headfirst into the role, swapping the quiet of my library for the whirlwind of make-believe matrimony.
Now, I'm dodging congratulations and attending eye-opening couples retreats while battling my real feelings.
Things get delightfully dirty when a mischievous hound dog leads us on a merry mud-splattered chase, resulting in both Nate and me looking like swamp creatures at a garden party.
Navigating this messy charade, I’m starting to think the line between make-believe and reality is as thin as the pages of a well-loved novel.
Not Really Faking It With My Best Friend's Brother is a dual POV, sweet kisses only, standalone book with no profanity and a HEA. It is the first book in the Off-Limits Love in Rivermint Cove Series.

A bad best man’s speech can ruin a wedding. Why do we plan every detail of a perfect day and then give the groom’s idiot best friend five minutes of total power? Enter Nate (Glen Powell), a speechwriter-for-hire who helps people write incredible best man speeches. To keep the best man from embarrassing himself (and the newlyweds), Nate uses his list of don’ts: Don’t mention the exes, don’t be rated R, and don’t bum everyone out. Nate’s system never fails. That is, until he meets Dan (Nicholas Braun).

Hilarious, fascinating, and a roller coaster of dizzying, historical what-ifs, Napoleon's Hemorrhoids is a potpourri for serious historians and casual history buffs. In one of Phil Mason's many revelations, you'll learn that Communist jets were two minutes away from opening fire on American planes during the Cuban missile crisis, when they had to turn back as they were running out of fuel. You'll discover that before the Battle of Waterloo, Napoleon's painful hemorrhoids prevented him from mounting his horse to survey the battlefield.

Story
“The Heron” is the nickname a big-city accountant has attached to himself in his new home near San Diego, where he’s using the alias to avoid a hit man who may be after him. It seems a former client believes that The Heron has skipped town with several million dollars not his own. Don Winslow’s ensuing, entertaining yarn is by turns twisty, dark, and comical as we observe the delicate dance between the pursuer and the pursued.

After living a life of failed, predictable relationships, Lucy Fister took the advice of the psychic who charged sixty dollars for ten minutes: start seeking men who are the absolute opposite of who she dated. It made sense, but paying for the obvious meant it might work. Tyler Tolliver met that criteria. He was an out of work actor who’d invented the love language ‘have a good time.’ They had a whirlwind relationship and after four months, he proposed, holding a bread tie for a ring, and giving the argument that the lease on his loft was expiring. Story
Every woman in Millie Delacroix's family is cursed - kind of. Birth control just doesn't work for them. Like ever. Going to the altar knocked up is pretty much a family tradition. And 24-year-old Millie refuses to let that happen to her - again. Especially now that she's responsible for raising her brothers and sister. A life of celibacy is her best defense - at least until the kids are grown and can take care of themselves. And, really, what's 10 years with no sex? No men. No sex. No love. It's a fool-proof plan. Until she meets Luc Valencia.

Story
I hate small towns. The life there is not for me. But when my grandfather passes and his lawyer shows up at my door with his will and the grumpy rancher who gets on my nerves, the only choice is me staying longer than planned. The last thing I need is Hayes interfering with my inheritance. We never get along, and that’s not a problem. He hates me just as much as I hate him. And to top it, he’s my best friend’s brother. The only problem is that hint of passion that hovers between us. I see it in his eyes even when he’s angry…I see it in the way he looks at me. There’s a list of ...

Boo virtual voice
I didn’t like the virtual voice. The story was very predictable but sweet and an easy listen.

cute book
It's definitely a fluffy story, pretty clean with occasional kisses. The medical definitely violates hippa if it was real, but it's not, so it doesn't really matter. Overall it was a good book.

a human did not read this book
What a way to destroy a cute story. I hated having computer read the story. I couldn't understand who was in the story. there is no personality it was like awful. So unless a computer wrote the story so I don't feel badly for an author that doesn't exist, I would just be so sad as someone who dedicates her life to writing to entertain having this done to the book.

Virtual voice is a horrible choice for reading
I really like the story, but it is so hard to get to know the characters because it is read with a virtual voice. There is no inflection nor change in tone, which makes it very hear to know which character perspective is featured.
