Mia, stając w obliczu nowego wyzwania, musi natychmiast dorosnąć i porzucić swe dotychczasowe wygodne, hulaszcze życie, które wiodła u boku ojca. Dostając spadek po matce, która porzuciła ją, gdy dziewczyna miała kilka lat, zostaje zesłana do obcego kraju, do domu, którego zdaje się nienawidzić tak samo, jak jego poprzedniej właścicielki. Antek wraz ze swoją ekipą budowlaną otrzymuje kolejne zlecenie. Na prośbę człowieka, któremu wiele zawdzięcza, osobiście ma zająć się remontem domu jego córki. Wszystko wydaje się proste, jednak z pozoru zwyczajne zadanie zaczyna go nieco przerastać, a rozkapryszona dziedziczka swoim nietuzinkowym zachowaniem wywołuje w nim skrajne emocje.
Czy różnice dzielące tych dwoje młodych ludzi zdołają powstrzymać uczucie, które nieoczekiwanie pojawia się w ich sercach? Czy na podwalinach rudery, na osłabionych fundamentach własnych życiowych wyborów będą w stanie zbudować miłość? Czy pomimo różnic dzielących Mię i Antka uda im się odnaleźć właściwą drogę do wspólnej przyszłości? Czy krok po kroku, cegła po cegle, uda im się zbudować szczęśliwe zakończenie?
