Fantastic Narration

I enjoyed the book and the plot, but I will have to say that the narration in this book is awesome. Well worth the time and credit, this book will go on my "listen again" category.

This book was provided at no cost for a fair and honest review.

Funny and Fast Paced... A Good Read

"I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review."

The background behind this story is unique, the main character and his sidekick are reluctant German soliders during WW2. After meeting an alien entity, the pair agree to work against the nazis. I found the book to be fast paced enough that it kept my attention throughout. The humor really worked well; I'm not a laugh out loud type of person, particularly when listening to an audiobook, but found myself doing just that on numerous occasions. I'll seek out more of this author's work based on that alone!

Narration was good, there are some areas that would benefit from additional editing, but not to the point where the issues are a distraction. As with the writing, the best part of the narration was the humor; his deadpan delivery of the jokes really worked well.

where do I begin?

As I listened to Thomas Reissner's reading of this book, in a very good German accent I might add, many words and phrases came into my mind to describe the experience of Nazi Monster Jagers. Bizarre and vulgar where the first two, quickly followed by outrageous, boisterous, unbelievable, profane and farcical. Normally I don't like TV programs let alone written material to repetitively use the same four letter word ad nauseam so be prepared to hear it over and over again. This book made me chuckle, snicker and outright laugh and probably for all the wrong reasons and in the most unlikely places. Read at your own risk and I'm sure that men will love it.
