Publisher's summary

Bardic mage and otherworlder Alana takes on sea monsters, secrets, and her own past as this captivating series blending epic fantasy and isekai continues.

It's been almost two decades since Alana woke up from an accident on Earth to find herself transported into the body of a child in the kingdom of Bergond. In that time, she's faced war and famine, deadly political plots and dull courtly traditions, magical mayhem and romantic entanglements, and she's thrived through it all. Newly graduated from magic school, she's ready for her next adventure: a quest to uncover long-buried secrets that will take her far from the city of Lithere and deep into the kingdom of the elves.

Only, Alana's long voyage isn't without its own set of complications. Between an encounter with a hurricane whale, a run-in with goblins, and less-than-friendly greetings upon reaching her destination, Alana's cunning and spellcasting prowess are taxed from the moment she steps on the ship to leave her homeland. But none of those trials compare to what she will find when she lands in Atali: an ancient power that could forever transform Bergond—and a startling connection to a life Alana thought she'd all but left behind . . .

With swashbuckling action on the high seas as well as the blend of politics, friendship, and intrigue that has defined the series thus far, Melody of Mana 4 is a must-hear chapter in this irresistible progressive fantasy.

The fourth volume of the hit progression-fantasy series—with more than three million views on Royal Road—now available on Audible and wherever ebooks are sold!

Fanatics character development

Dispute this being full of magic there’s still a relatable human element. All of the major characters and even the minor ones have complex motives that sometimes conflict with the moment or present reality; I think this is what has drawn me in. I can’t wait to see how everyone grows and changes.

Still Suffering from the Third Book

One thing that make this series impossible to put down through the first two books was the main character's strong characterization, something the third book fumbled in incredibly proportion. While this book isn't nearly as bad as the third in this regard, it still had yet to content with the fact that she had a stronger backbone as a 9 year old than she does as an adult. Where once she as a child traded harsh words with the head of the Order of the Shield, she now quibbles over whether or not to rebuke her mother. Long gone are the days where she put her teachers and headmaster in their place, now is the time where she quietly accepts unreasonably restrictions on her person. A complete narrative failure to stay true to a character. Otherwise the story was okay, although a bit underwhelming. What seemed destined to be amongst my most lauded and favorite series now holds a precarious position in my top 10. The let down stings more than the failing itself.

Should have been 20 hrs long

The author needs to make these books longer… also would be nice to see some new magic

Way to short

should have been at least another 8 hours. and she needs to get in to more trouble but I do see that in the horizon for her love the series can't wait for the next one.

Very short

It is very short and kinda hard to figure out what is going on. Also feel like there is a new romantic interest every book.

Awesome

This Siri is awesome as per usual one of my favourite of all time things were pretty calm in this book but they seem to be picking back up soon. Not too sure what to think about the elf though.

the Mc is not overpowered and has a practical solution to most problems and doesn't have to flex and try to fix this societies issues
