The Mediterranean diet is popular for its weight loss effects and health benefits. It is not just a regular diet because it promotes a lifestyle change that helps people maintain a long-lasting and healthy weight.
This book is intended for starters who want a major lifestyle change and want to live at a healthy weight. It includes all the essential facts needed to adopt the famous and traditional Mediterranean diet. The health effects are also discussed, which are backed up with scientific evidence.
The book also discusses how the Mediterranean diet works by inducing weight loss and longevity. The three phases of the Mediterranean diet are discussed in detail, with a sample menu plan, recipes, and a grocery list. With the Mediterranean diet, you can expect weight loss of at least two lbs. per week. You will also have fewer clinic visits and hospitalizations because of its health effects.
Eating behavior does not develop overnight, and the same is true when it comes to unlearning faulty eating behavior. Generally people can see results after one to two weeks on the Mediterranean diet.
