Publisher's summary

Carolynn Kemp has lost everything. Her entire family is gone and her life is in turmoil. Her hopes and dreams of making every one of their lives better are dashed and she is tempted to give up and accept the misery that she seems destined for. But will life let her lie down and give in, or will she find the inner strength to start again?

Winston Piper is jealous of the happiness his friends have found in recent times, and so, he takes the chance that he might find love by mail order, too. But his fears are not that he won't find the woman he so desperately craves, he worries that she will not give him the chance to make her happy. Can he convince her that her past does not have to overwhelm them and deny them of happiness, and that it is their future he cares about most?

Carolyn Finds Love

Mail Order Bride: Carolyn Finds Love
Ruby Springs Brides, Book 3

Book 3 in this series. A short, sweet, mail order historical fiction. This book has the usual man and woman corresponding with the possibility of marriage. However some of the obstacles in this book are more intense than other books. I’m not saying they are “dark” just somewhat different. I liked the twists happening during the story line instead of being referred to as a past incident.

The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Another enjoyable listen performed by J. Scott Bennett.

Sweet Historical Romance

An intriguing tale of love between two drastically different living situations. The Doctor has a heart of gold and while Carolyn lives in the tenements and works her fingers to the bone in the laundry. She’s tenacious and determined and they couldn’t be more perfect for each other!
Another wonderfully narrated story by Scott. I hope he’s not changing his line of work anytime soon! He’s found his niche in voice acting!

Very entertaining and enjoyable

I thought this was a great plot but when her parents came up missing and the outcome of why I couldn’t buy into that. I can’t tell you why or it would give the story away. It is a sweet clean read that is short and to the point. No fillers here the author gives the facts with some heartbreaking times.

Mr. Bennett’s narration is outstanding as he brings to life the story with strong emotions, confusion, power, control, anger, loss, heartache. You can hear all these in his voice as he builds each character giving us their strengths and weakness. His female and male voices are wonderful you always know who is talking and just what they are feeling. There are no background noises, no volume changes just a very clean clear audio that really pulls you in. If any breaks were taken you cannot tell. What really makes this an outstanding audio is how the narrator really brings it to life, you have no trouble getting lost in his pleasant voice which makes it very easy to picture the scenes in your mind. He really gives character to the characters as he puts his self in their place. Mr. Bennett gives the full impact through his voice as your heart goes out to a few characters and what they are going through. Each character goes through a trying time, the narrator has no trouble showing you exactly what they are feeling. It is a great narration that really pulls you in leaving you laughing and sad at other times.

Winston is a very caring and loving man that really pulls you in. Carolynn and her story just breaks my heart. All in all it was a nice read with some very entertaining reading. The author ties it up very nicely and does explain about her family I just don’t see it going down that way not for a very close net family with a daughter that comes home every weekend.

A very touching mail order bride story.v

I know most mail order bride stories have a certain recipe to them and just the plot is different. Somehow the girl is left alone or she comes from a high society family that she wants no part of that lost all the money blah blah blah. This story is no different, with the exception of the fact in this story we saw the kind of meet the family she loses including Little Mikey who she loves her brother in a tournament accident and when I say accident I mean the whole tournament fell down on top the family, the whole building end it happens on the very same day she loses her job. Talk about bad luck then yes she writes to someone who is avatars in the matrimonial times and then you know what happens. This was one of my favorites mail order bride stories I really enjoyed it it had something the others did and I cannot put my finger on it but it was very touching and very sweet not to mention the narrator whose names list my mind at the moment… Oh yes his name is Jay Scott Bennett or Scott Jay bandit that like that I love him though he’s an awesome now rated for country and clean west and romances. If you like romance sweet and clean and touching you’re gonna love this book I know I did!

Slightly different twist!

Karla Gracey continues her Ruby Springs series with the correspondence between Winston and Carolyn. Winston is the doctor in Ruby Springs and is looking for a companion. Carolyn is looking for a way to get her family out of the tenament of NY. When tragedy strike Carolyn, Winston comes to see if he can help, but will it be enough to help and win her heart? I really enjoyed this installment, it was a little different in the content, not the usual storyline. Karla Gracey really gives a well developed plot with her short books creating a happy listen,

J. Scott Bennett continues the narration of this series with his calm and warm voice. He is perfect for this book.

Another lovely story

I enjoyed this book as well. I think my only complaint about this series is that the books are too short. I would love to know more about each story and their lives after they find love. I enjoy listening to the narrator as well. He has done a great job on these books so far. I look forward to the next book.
