Finding true love

I have never read anything from this author, however after listening to this audiobook I cannot wait to go back and start the series with book 1. I found myself laughing so hard I had tears and had trouble putting this book down. My only complaint was the book ending too soon. I fell in the love with Bruce's family. Definitely worth the read and the happy ending.

So delightful!!!

This is a darker, more serious MacGregor book with some comical relief by way of Margareta and giant chickens. LOL
Pretty much all of Niall's story is very sad. An unfortunate event inadvertently happens to him when he's around 100 years old. Since then he seems to seek penance by protecting the family from supernatural beings all over. Not just in Green Vallis. After centuries he seems to resent his family a tad because he thinks they won't or can't help. To be fair, nobody has ever offered. That is until the present time when Niall is entrusted to protect Charlotte. Plus with the wraith, goblin & "evil bumblebees" running amuck courtesy of Dar, Niall has his hands full at the mansion.
I have to hand it to Charlotte though. She is one mentally tough cookie. Niall had taken away her memories of the supernatural things she had seen & been subjected to. However, she some remembered them in her dreams & sadly thought she was insane or had a tumor. When Niall told her the full truth about all the memories & see saw him as a wolf, she was so nonchalant. It didn't faze her a bit. I'd personally run screaming for the hills. Chapter 21 is where 2 more truths come out. One for Niall & one for Charlotte. I laughed through most of the character.
I really enjoyed the fact that this installment was about a more gruff, man of few words MacGregor. I highly recommend this audiobook!! The narrator is spot on and does a FANTASTIC JOB!
Two side notes:
1. The reference to a beloved Qurilixen book in Chapter two is priceless.
2. The only other time I've see the name Niall was the actor playing Zane on Eureka & my mind flashed to him everytime. LOL. Now I know what I'm binge watching next. Thanks Mrs. Pillow!

Wild ride

What a wild ride! Spell gone awry. A supernatural partner and ordinary human brought together under a unique circumstance. The curse is a real reoccurring nightmare & would have driven me insane. The love connection though is sweet and the intimate scenes toe curling. The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life! MacGregors

This is another great book in the series. Another MacGregor is down for the count.

Bruce and Elodie take us for a wild ride with out rhyme or reason. The story is full of twists and turns. There are laughs along the adventure, some scares too. And of course the curse that must be broken. It is a great adventures that was a lot of fun.

Magick, Mystery, and Love

Bruce MacGregor is the last unmarried member of his clan, and he is happy to stay that way. He has all he wants with his art, his books, and Hotel Motel. Elodie Fairweather is a rich girl trying to escape a family she thinks cares nothing about her. She is on a road trip to gather research for a book she wants to write. Strange things begin to happen when she pulls into the parking lot of Hotel Motel. Bruce comes to her rescue, from a sandstorm in her car. That’s just the beginning of the craziness. Is her problem a spell, enchantment, or curse? This is another fun and engaging visit with the MacGregor Warlock clan. They are all here and pitch in to help determine what is happening to Elodie so that hopefully she and Bruce can move on to happiness together. This one has it all. To go along with the wonderful MacGregor family, there is lots of fun and magic, twists and surprises, and a mystery with just enough hint to hold your attention to the end. As always, Michael Ferraiuolo provided an enjoyable narration.

greedy

Chaos ensues as a young woman gets caught up in a curse and everyone tries to figure out why and by who. The normal pranks and hijinks abound with a HEA. Recommend reading/listening in order.

Strange Magic (and Romance!) Afoot!

I'm not quite sure, but I think I've read or listened to every book in this delightful Warlocks MacGregor series. This is Bruce's story, the only unattached MacGregor by this point in the series. I loved getting to see all the quirky family members again, including the matriarchs and comic-relief Uncle Raybert, known to streak about the grounds naked and lead his family on merry misadventures. Some characters' unique backgrounds actually add to the plot of this story. I love it when an author so fully imbues a character with complexity that, even when they have a secondary role, they can make a difference. This book gave me a similar vibe as the Umbrella Academy (including a prolonged diner scene!). Strange magic is afoot, and it takes quite a while to sort out what exactly it is and how to combat it. The single male narrator does a fantastic job giving unique voices to the characters and mimicking a Scottish accent well. While you certainly don't have to have read or listened to prior books in this series to understand this one, your enjoyment will certainly be enhanced if you have some knowledge of the wacky, long-living MacGregor clan. Highly recommended.

Bruce and Elodie

Another great addition to the MacGregor warlock clan audible collection. Listening to the stories are some much better. I enjoy hearing the Scottish accents of the MacGregor clan. It makes the story come to life. The antics and playing jokes on each other adds humor as well as family dynamics.
Cousin Bruce finds himself the subject of his family’s matchmaking. He has no desire to find a wife. That is until he finds Elodie caught in a magical trap.
Elodie wants to write about her travels. But instead she is trapped in different worlds. She talks to a guy through a chalk board in one of the worlds. Later, Bruce helps rescue from that scenario. Yet, it keeps happening. Bruce becomes her anchor in these horrible scenarios.
Love the whole MacGregor clan. Enjoyed the rollercoaster ride that Bruce and Elodie traveled to be together.

Magickal Trouble

The McGregor clan is at it again...pulling pranks and having fun until it's time to get serious, then they stand together. This is Elody and Bruce's story's and what a wonderful story it is! It's filled with wonderfully quirky characters, suspense, action, romance with some steamy bits and of course magick. I love this delightful family and am so happy everyone is getting they're HEA but sad because I don't want it to end. The narrator Michael Ferraiuolo brings the story to life as plays out the story and its characters and does justice to this fantastic story!!

Loved it!

I love this audiobook so much! I didn't stop listening to it until I finished! Such a creative way to bring two people who were meant to be together. When Warlock Bruce MacGregor's family decided he needed to be married, they will stop at nothing to make sure he does. But he likes everything just the way it is. He has his art and his books. He's in no rush to find anyone. Spells, pranks, blind dates. Whatever they need to do they try it. Elodie is very unhappy with her life. Her parents are too busy with their own lives and really pay no attention to what she wants. She feels like no one cares about her. She goes off on a trip to do research so she can write a book and all these crazy things keep happening to her. Little does she know that she is cursed. She and Bruce meet and things only get worse. They try to figure out what in the world is going on. So any crazy things happen and such a big mystery has to be solved in order for Elodie and Bruce to find their happiness. I am sure that Elodie would have liked a little less magick with it but it was worth it all to find the love these two discovered. I highly recommend this book! The only thing I would have liked was dual narrators. Other than that it was wonderful!!
