About this listen

The World of Loreston was Erick Brighton's favorite video game.

He'd become one of the top players and constantly stayed up all night, competing in tournaments and avoiding any real commitments besides feeding his two plants.

However, one night when he awoke, he was no longer in his house in front of his computer but surrounded by Goblins, beautiful women, and enough supplies to build a tower from the ground to the moon.

Turning into a Lord, one of the individuals gifted with the ability to create structures, he starts out as a lowly serf as he attempts to climb the social structure from a small, powerless villager into the king of the world!

Warning: Contains harem elements, gore, and a ton of game-lit elements.

to be a harem or not to be a harem?

this one's such a tough when it comes to dealing with a sex tennis with a pretty good at the same time he comes off as something that he didn't need to have there are two stories here there's a Harem story and then there is the town Building Story both are excellent but it just doesn't work together separately each story it's great for what it is the author needs to make a decision what genre is he going to work in because he definitely works well in either genre and could be a run for books like right life reset if it decides to do the term building or could be a really good if he decides to do something like Monsters NYC he just needs to make his decision of which genre he's going for and commit to it

Entry level litrpg

This is more like a super simplified version of an rpg story. There is no back story or character development other than a very brief description of appearances and temperment. The MC is an 18 year old virgin male who seems reluctant to end that situation despite beautiful women desperately wanting to. There is no apparent rhyme or reason to the conflicts in the story. The best analogy I can think of is listening to the description of a fantasy setting game being played by a horny but socialy awkward 16 year old playing in God mode. The main saving grace is the excellent narration. Add to all this the fact that the book is under 4 hours long, and I would not recommend spending a credit on it.

Good story

I haven't heard a tower defense litrpg book yet!
The theme of this book is original and worth the 10 bucks for that.

Marty Stu MC, check
cookie cutter harem, check

This might be a young author but one to watch.

an interesting new addition to harem gamelit genre

an interesting start to a litrpg harem series. its fairly short, which makes me think this was meant as something more like a serial, rather than a true novel. but it's nice light little read. there r some rough spots, but I suspect the author will smooth out more as time progresses.
the harem aspect is super fast, but it's supposed to be one of the aspects of that world which is super jarring to the MC, so its sorta understandable. and it combines base dark feudal politics with a world fully aware of game mechanics defining the laws of their universe, so it stays pretty interesting.

the narrator is new, as ive not encountered him before. for a new narrator, he does a fairly decent job. it's a little forced, at times, but nothing that i cant imagine a little time and confidence wont improve. I look forward to seeing his future works.

For the level of sexual content it’s strange to hear a book that sounds like it was written by a 12 year old.

Not a good book, dose not deserve a single star. No depth - no charge for or storyline development...
