The keto diet represents one of the most successful dietary protocols in recent years. Moreover, it represents one of the most popular low-carb diets of the moment.
Low carb means a diet that requires minimal if any carbohydrate intake. Unlike other low-carb diets, the keto diet does not take the greater supply of nutrients from proteins (such as high-protein diets) but a greater intake of lipids. A lifestyle that allows us to stay fit and healthy. In fact, many studies show that this type of diet can help you lose weight and improve your health.
So, the ketogenic diet (or keto diet, for short) is a low-carb, high-fat diet that offers many health benefits. Used in the past (at the beginning of the last century) as epilepsy children-care protocol, this diet still may even have benefits against diabetes, cancer, epilepsy, and Alzheimer’s disease.
