About this listen

Mystic Caravan Circus is on the move after their winter break. First stop? Moonstone Bay. Poet Parker and crew are looking for a permanent location because traveling won’t be an option for much longer. They’re expecting a normal trip.

They’re getting so much more...including a mystery.

The day after they arrive, a body drops in the ditch across from the city park, and what follows is a series of bone-chilling events that revolve around the island’s children. It seems something weird is causing them to act out of sorts...and they might just have murder on their minds.

Moonstone Bay is a magical place and Poet feels a kinship with the land and people who live there almost immediately. Unfortunately, the terror stalking the island isn’t something that can be ignored.

Poet has to band together with the island's inhabitants - including a feisty witch and fiery half-demon - to figure out what’s happening. Their research leads them to an ancient story about a possessing demon, and the villages he left decimated in his wake.

Poet is strong. Her new friends make her stronger. If Moonstone Bay is ultimately to be their home, she’s going to have to go all out to protect it.

Two teams are coming together to fight a war. It’s going to take all of them to ensure a happy ending.

Buckle up. Things are about to get wicked on Moonstone Bay.

Moonstone Bay? Really?!

This was a very good story overall and yet the whole thing about the circus settling down in one place is kind of boring. The quickness in this being pushed by Coal and Poet's boyfriend (Yes, I know his name but only having to have bought the audio books, I don't know the spelling) who both have only been around a short time is annoying. The fact that the rest of the paranormal people in the circus have adopted the idea so easily bothered me. Also how boring are the stories going to become with only fighting in one small area of the USA?

Wow

A lot happens in this book. I am loving the crossovers and new characters that are at Moonstone Bay. Mystic Caravan series is one of favorites. I love all the characters and their stories.
I'm not gonna leave spoilers, so makes it really hard to leave a review. Big changes happen in this book for the Mystic crew. Highly recommend.
The narrator does a great job. No annoying voices and each was distinctive.

Like the Avengers!

This was a spectacular story- complex, exciting, epic. The best so far. I enjoyed it so much. And the narrator handled a huge cast of characters extremely well. Kudos to her. This should get her nominated for something.

Enjoying the series

I love the way it progresses…fun to read and listen …the author use characters from her other books to intensify the plot lines…

Poet is beginning to bug me.

I really like this series. It started out delightful and has slowly gotten darker. Suddenly Poet has all these skills that she didn’t have before and it’s become a little confusing. When did that happened? Frankly, I think, the “I can take care of myself”, has been overplayed. When finding a life partner you’re supposed to change to accommodate the other and not “look how strong and powerful I am.” I am stronger, I know more and I can overpower any man living! Good grief. Feel free to take that chip off your shoulder any time now. Unfortunately, Poet stays on course as rude and thoughtless when it comes to Kade. Kade has been shoved into a pretty pink, lace trimmed box of tears. “I’ll come back and hear you whine some more later.” I think that’s what she said to Kade. Really? I understand wanting a strong female character, but not at the expense of demeaning and subjugation. If I were Kade, I would have taken my manhood back and allowed her to “take care of herself” and then walked away from martyrdom. Aside from sex, what else do they do together? She’s not even interested in planning a wedding. Oh, wait! That’s Kade’s job.
I found this book to be lacking in the usual lighthearted humor. Seriously, isn’t she supposed to be conquering evil and not adding to it? Snarky was pushed to a whole new heartless level. Too much “demon” for a YR/YA book. Would not recommend this book for teens or adults who find too much evil and darkness in the world already.
Sorry. I truly wish I had better things to say about this book. Frankly, this is one of those books, that if you had the actual hard copy, you would have thrown it over your shoulder half way through.

irritating

I love this series but this book is totally irritating. The storyline just makes me so mad. It's so wrong and so off of the other stories. I had an extremely hard time finishing it.
