Very funny

I’m glad I finally started this series because it’s one of her funniest and I really need to laugh.

Love this series!

It’s funny, snarky and the MC isn’t whining like in the Rowan Gray series by Hart.

Screechy narrator voice

This could’ve been a really fun listen but the narrator was so whiny and screechy it killed my ears. I could not finish it.
Too bad they don’t have an adjustment for lowering the tonal value.

It’s NOT fermiliar 😭 (PS the main character + main male character are both exceptionally difficult to like)

Oh to be a super hot girl with a terrible attitude…

I remember how nice it was to be a really hot girl who is skates by in her looks to bypass a potential character disorder. Seriously though, I feel that Hallie would benefit from antidepressants.

I’ve been in chronic pain for the last 10 years, and I wasn’t paid out by the cause of my injury, nor handed a successful life as a result, and I still found my way toward the ability to self soothe, and increase my emotional intelligence, instead of taking out my whatever on others.

(+ the whole alcoholic familiar piece.. Tolerance is not the name of the game in this tropical Florida paradise).
I feel like Hallie sets a dangerous precedence that we (womens) can succeed in life if we are bitter, as long as we’re hot… which to be fair is a SUPER familiar “reality” TV story - which rhymes with The Schmardashians.
(If you read AML’s work you will see the irony).

But I digress.

this narrator is possibly the best of all AML’s Audible performers. Unforgivably you’d never know since the producer set up the recording so strangely.

BUT- I’ve found if you increase the speed of playback to between 1.15-1.25 all of the strange cadence of the narrator’s tempo resolves!!
I think she recorded at her natural tempo and the publisher slowed the recording WAAAAYYYYYY…. DOOOOOOWWWNNNN…., for some reason.
The narrator has a TOTALLY lovely voice and is very talented at what she does, when allowed to perform at her natural speed of speech!

my only qualm is: it’s FAMILIAR,” - not, “FERMiliar”!
