About this listen

From the world's number one best-selling author comes the newest book in the blockbuster Private series....

Santosh Wagh quit his job as head of Private India after harrowing events in Mumbai almost got him killed. But Jack Morgan, global head of the world's finest investigation agency, needs him back. Jack is setting up a new office in Delhi, and Santosh is the only person he can trust.

Still battling his demons, Santosh accepts, and it's not long before the agency takes on a case that could make or break them. Plastic barrels containing dissolved human remains have been found in the basement of a house in an upmarket area of South Delhi. But this isn't just any house; this property belongs to the state government.

With the crime scene in lockdown and information suppressed by the authorities, delving too deep could make Santosh a target to be eliminated.

Great Narration

I hesitated to download this book because of early reviews, but they were wrong. The narration was appropriate to the story and well executed. It’s also a great story!

Not as good

This book was not as good as the others in the series, the story plot was okay, I think it was just hard to get into the plot and the suspense of the book because the reader was not very good. What mostly keeps me into the book is the way the reader changes their voice for each character and how they can project the emotions of the character through their voice, to me Sartaj didn't do a great job at changing his voice. I felt like each character sounded the same and there was no emotion. So when it came to the suspense parts of the book it was like ehh to me.. I honestly don't think I can tell you everything about this book, I know there was a killer but I honestly couldn't keep up with what this story was about.

Not the best

The performance is lacking. Disappointing. The guy used the same voice for multiple characters. Made the book boring.

Very Good But....

I really liked this story. But, there were just too many characters to keep up with. The narration was interesting. Took me a while to get used to it. At times it was good and other times almost comical. But that is probably the American in me.

Anyway, this was a very good story with so-so narration. Definitely recommend though.

Interesting

I love the Private series
At first I was thrown for a loop with the Indian accent of the narrator. Excellently done by the way appropriate since plot mostly in Delhi
Patterson never disappoints.

Good story, grating narrator.

My least favorite of the Private Series. The narrator's depiction of women and Jack was terrible.

The Narrator

Struggling to Finish
I enjoyed PI:India and all of the others so far, but this narrator?!
I enjoyed Amerjit Deu and Raj Ghatak's narration on the PI: India, Have 0 idea on why they didn't continue with them....this narrator makes most of the voices (especially the female voices) sound silly and cartoonish! Nisha/Neesha(sp?) Ghandi is such a STRONG character and he makes her sound foolish :( It's an interesting story, but like a prior comment said, if I could just return it I would. I hope that they produce a "reader's addition " or something that brings back the original narrators or at least adds an extra narrator to help this guy....

I couldn't get past the narration

I couldn't get past the narration - initially thought it was fine but all the characters sounded fake accent and it made it difficult to track the story line

Refreshing

This book was great. The change in narrators helped substantially. I really enjoyed it. The development of the characters was well planned and the twist at the end was unexpected.
