Referenced in a movie

I was watching a movie recently that referenced this play. I’m glad I looked it up and listened. I made the movie more interesting. The movie I saw was WONDER with Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson.

Has anything changed in our town?

Old story but sentiment the same. We are so busy with life we sometimes forget to slow down and enjoy it. A truly sentimental and endearing story. Orson Wells narrates beautifully!

Struggled to hear

It was different...having a play narrated and acted out. Lots of background noise made it difficult to hear.

Orson Wells and Campbell Playhouse

These old radio programs are the best. This is acting creating a character enhancing imagination

Great but short

Even in this abridged version, Wilder’s “Our Town” shines. The sound quality is poor, which is understandable given the recording’s vintage, but the power of the play still manages to come through.

Classic play aired on the radio long ago

Old recording, so poor sound quality in places. Narrated by Orson Wells. I enjoyed the authenticity of the recording, which includes Campbell's Soup commercials of the time. Classic play, so I wish it were a bit easier to hear.

I’ve been waiting to watch this as an adult

And I still think it’s portentous. The grain of the recording def adds to the time travel vibe

Beautiful story, but very difficult to hear

I recently read Tom Lake which prompted me to read Our Town. Love the story, but this production has a tremendous amount of static and background noise—I assume intentionally—that makes it difficult to hear the story line.

Barely Listenable

Love this play, so I thought I would download it and listen to it. Unfortunately, the audio quality is so bad it is hard to listen to.
