Once I got into the book though the author stated that mothers who experience stress (not defining what stress) would imprint a distrusting relationship with their fetus in utero as it’s the babies first time experiencing stress, so obviously would cause an attachment disorder. I could go no further. This is an inflammatory statement with no broader nuance given (like how the human race has had famine, war, murder and general death at much higher rates in the past, so what actually qualifies as stress?) and I’m not interested to hear what other inflammatory flippant statements this woman is keen on making especially in a book regarding attachment to others.
