Publisher's summary

What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay there. I would know.

I'm coming home with a brand-new ring on my finger. My wife: Ryan Bell. We're polar opposites. She's sunshine and happiness.

I'm grumpy and scarred—literally.

We could get it annulled and no one would be the wiser. Only problem? We posted about it online, and it's already making headlines.

I can't afford to get that kind of attention and tank my career, and Ryan needs my help too. We make a plan: stay married for one year, play our roles, and divorce amicably at the end. No harm, no foul.

Besides, there's no way the beauty is going to fall for the beast...

Blind Pass is a standalone hockey romance. There's a grumpy beast of a man, a sunshiny beauty, steam, and a whole lot of laugh-out-loud fun!

Rhodes and Ryan

Wow this was one of my favorite accidentally married stories! I loved Ryan and Rhodes. They were so great together. This book was hilarious and swoony and a well written low angst story with a sprinkle of hockey in the mix. I really enjoyed Rhodes and how he opened up to Ryan and let her in on his emotional insecure side.

Ryan and Rhodes find themselves married after a drunken night in Vegas. But once the media gets ahold of the news they decide to continue on with this fake marriage for a bit longer. Rhodes is doing it for his hockey career but Ryan is doing it for her grandma to have the best place to live. Their banter was top notch.

Tim Paige and Callie Dalton were perfect narrators for this book. Callie had the most beautiful innocent voice for the role of Ryan. The banter and funny moments translated well when performed by the narrators. It was an easy listen and a spectacular book to read.

Ryan and Rhodes, love them! Fake marriage, grumpy x sunshine and hockey? All of my favorite things in one! Also love a 3rd act with hat doesn’t take too long to get through!

Beauty and the Beast

I absolutely love Hockey romances and this one is so good with a twist on Beauty and the Beast. It’s a cute romance with a drunk wedding gone wrong…or right?? The narration was expertly done with both Tim Paige and Callie Dalton performing perfectly. The banter of the story was really brought to life by both in such an entertaining way. I will definitely be following along with the rest of this series.

Wonderful Story & Listen🎧 Delightfully Heartfelt!

Teagan Hunter pens another winner and fabulously delightful sports romance set in her Carolina Comets series, each book stands on its own, but you are going to want them all because each one is just as amazing as the other. This second book of the series is Ryan Bell and Adrian Rhodes’ story, brought together by mutual friends, Ryan is Harper’s bestie and Rhodes is Collin’s friend and Carolina Comets teammate. Ryan has her own social media channel, makeup tutorials, her passion is in photography though neither pay her bills or are enough to help pay for her Grams assisted living care and when she loses her job in a salon, she was not sure what she was going to do. She joins Harper and some Comets for some fun in Vegas and parties a little too hard, so Rhodes, who is not much of a drinker, takes her away from the bar so she could sober up some. These two are like oil and vinegar, the back and forth bickering between them is hysterical, well mostly, what comes out of Ryan’s mouth is just too funny. Rhodes had a long-term girlfriend, they’ve had some off and on periods in their relationship, so Ryan looks her up on social media and saw that she just announced that she was engaged to a former teammate which Ryan is not happy to hear about and decides he needs to put a load on so the two take off for a night of debauchery in Vegas. When they wake up the next day, they remember little of what went down, but they know they are now married because the ring and pictures prove it. Now they need to avoid a social media and publicity nightmare and Rhodes comes up with a plan to stay married for one year, which Ryan agrees to after he throws some incentives her way. All goes as planned as everything falls in to place, though it does not take long for them to realize that they both harbor feelings for one another. I loved how everything played out in this wonderfully plotted story, which has the perfect balance of drama, humor and witty dialogue, some twists and turns, heartfelt emotions and a romance that was meant to be. Teagan Hunter, thank you for another amazing story, all the laugh out loud moments and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Tim Paige and Callie Dalton are a treat for your ears and the perfect cast to bring these characters and their story to life. They understand who these characters are and give each a voice that fits their character’s persona making them believable in every role they play. Paige’s Rhodes was spot on, grasped every side of his personality from his serious grump side to his caring side. Dalton’s Ryan was quick witted and bubbly, as well as smart and determined. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters too. These two entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to, their narration enhances an already amazing story to another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

This is Adrian Rhodes & Ryan Bell’s story

The narrators were great at bringing the characters to life. Their deal for a year of marriage turned into real love somewhere along the way. Adrian thinks of himself as beastly because of his scar while Ryan sees the tenderness and insecurity inside of him that he tries to hide. I really loved how she and Adrian became so close as they each realized that they were truly in love.

Loved this book!

I absolutely loved this book and the audiobook made it even better! I loved getting to see his vulnerable side with her, not the tough hockey player everyone else got to see. I loved when they each realized it wasn’t fake anymore.

The narrators both did an amazing job bringing these characters to life. They each fit their character so well. I didn’t want to stop listening.

Vegas, marriage of convenience, hockey hero!

3.5 stars! Blind Pass is the second book in Teagan Hunter’s Carolina Comets series, which is a contemporary, hockey romance series!

In this one we follow Ryan, who is best friends with Harper (the heroine of book 1), and Rhodes, the grumpy NHL player. While in Las Vegas they get drunk and married, and then decide a marriage of convenience would help them out as to not ruin her public image/career.

I liked that it had a grumpy hero, sunshine heroine setup. The hero is scarred and the heroine takes care of her grandmother. This whole series is just low angst, has great bantery moments between the couple, lots of fun texting between them, and a great friend group to follow! Not any new favs yet, but super easy to just get swept up in and binge.
