About this listen

"All my life I'd always known what the Gentry boys were. A set of fraternal triplets born to a depraved family, they were rough, sexy, and wild as wolves."

"I don't even know if love is real. After running from the bastard who brutalized me, I limped back to Arizona, choosing a vibrant college town in the hopes of starting over. I never expected to find him there. Cord Gentry. He and his brothers were tough, lusty forces of nature I'd known since childhood. Years ago Cord seduced me as a sick game. I've hated him ever since. Now here he is again, a man who beats other men bloody for money. Cord has always been heartless, dangerous, not to be trusted. And I want him so much I can't think."

"They called us 'those white trash Gentry boys' until we believed that was what we were. Our people squatted at the edge of a hellhole prison town for generations. The childhood we endured was the stuff of nightmares. I'd learned early on that my brothers, Chase and Creed, were the only people on Earth worth my time. They all told us we were bad, that we'd always be bad. The horrors of the past have scarred my soul. But now I need to be better. For her."

5 🌟 series

I listened to the whole series a few months ago and I'm about to start it over again because i miss these people. I highly recommend this whole universe 😍. after this series there is another set in the same universe that we see snap shots of past characters lives after the HEA of their book some more than others but all is great.

Couldn’t get invested

This is one of those books that’s not bad but not good. The story dragged at times and I just couldn’t get myself to care about the characters. Nothing really dynamic enough for me to be fully invested to want to know what happens next.

Let’s hear it for the (Gentry) boyz!

Steaminess; 🔥 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Narration; 3.8 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Storyline; solid 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a worthy download thru my romance package and I enjoyed the story. I could see myself easily giving the storyline a 5 star review if it would have been more developed cause all the goods were there.
Great first, secondary characters, back line etc. it just wasn’t explored. An example; cord’s mistreatment of saylor in high school. the way it was handled “sorry was a longtime ago, what do ya want me to say” & “ okay, thanks for letting me crash was really cool of you”, (basically but not exactly what happened) ugh, come on!! it’s not like the mentioned hs event was a simple name calling incident. Saylor’s character capitulated so soon it didn’t feel realistic especially after her ordeal at the beach house. More exploration of situations (the above example for instance) would have elevated the storyline. There were so many times the events could have been more fleshed out etc.
With all that being said it was worth the download! Narration would’ve been 4.5 starz if the male narrator didn’t do such a drag queen voice for the girl lol!
Downloading next book now!

Bad Boy

This is a true enemies to lover's story! I love how it was a realistic plot in where she couldn't just melt for him and forgive all without her own reservations. They both had rough childhoods, just in two very different ways. Can't wait to continue to hear about these two in future books. The narrative was on point as well.
