Publisher's summary

From Hugo Award finalist David VanDyke and million-selling science-fiction legend B. V. Larson comes book two in the epic military space opera adventure saga!

Commodore Straker's rebellion grows in strength - but his enemies are growing even faster. Faced with a dozen rebel planets in their territory, the Mutuality finally takes notice of the upstart known as the Liberator, and they gather a vast fleet to crush him.

Preparing for a titanic interstellar battle, it's clear Straker has no chance. His tiny enclave of free planets can't survive the weight of a thousand worlds. His own officers realize this, and some of them begin to turn against him....

In a desperate attempt to halt their inevitable destruction, Straker and his team set out to capture the largest ship ever built. The monstrous vessel is well-defended and contains secrets no one suspects. Unleashing its power might turn the tide of the war - but it may also doom humanity.

Battleship Indomitable is the second book in the Galactic Liberation series. The series starts with book one, Starship Liberator.

Good progression

First book had a rough start but got better. The second book brought more life to the characters. Fun shoot em up listen with enough plot twists to keep one guessing... worth the time.

good continuation of the series

I thought this was a pretty good continuation of the series however this one did seem like it was rushed ... but I do have to think of starting a ...Straker... counter...

A pretty good space opera!

This is the kind of story that grabs you and builds nicely from the previous book. A great sequel, it also stand up well on its own and leaves you wanting to know more. The only downside? Waiting for the next volume in the series!

Good story, not great

Way too much with the AI ethics thread. great space battle scenarios. Indie got old fast, immature like A LEFTIST teenager

Loved it.

A longer, more complex story than the Star Force series books. Great characters and contemplates issues such as political ideology and humans melding with AI's wirh the usual exciting backdrop of military scifi.

Great Series, Not Sure I’ll Continue.

Great Series. Derrick Straker is a bit of an “over-the-top” character who seems oblivious to obvious plot twists like Tashina. Spoiler alert, I think there could have been some awesome story turns by having Tashina as a sort of parasitic ruler of a the Mutuality government, with her clones controlling things at all levels. Narration is Audie winning. Single narrator with a plethora of voice intonations. Easily switches genders.

Interesting and engaging, but

Not as good as Undying Mercenaries or Star Force, but still an excellent story. I powered through book 1 & 2 after getting them on sale. The story was good. The characters were the norm for Larson's stories. The main character is bigger than life and indomitable. The secondary characters are deep enough to be interesting, but not deep enough to challenge the main character or provide a spin-off. The story and actions are a bit formula esque following predictable larger than life victories and failures for Straker. These are all shortcomings of BV Larson's writing style, but his stories just work. They don't make you "strain your brain" to keep up with complex details, but that may be some of the charm of his stories. I enjoyed this story despite my criticism, and would have gladly spent a credit on these books. Luckily, I got the first two on sale. :) I'd be jumping to book 3 if I didn't have a ton of books queued up from the recent sales. I'm sure I'll come back to finish this story when I catch up.

Like I said, I read books 1 & 2 in a marathon, so I'm just going to post this same review on both books. If you are reading this review on book 2, it will be the same as book 1. If you are reading this review on book 1, it will be the same as book 2.
