Publisher's summary

I wanted to treat my girlfriend to a trip to New Orleans for some much needed R-and-R. That was the plan. Stopping in Memphis for a night of partying, I awoke to find I had no memories of the night before, another woman had joined us in bed for the evening, and a demon sat in the hotel’s bar, wanting to talk.

With a drink in one hand and a cigarette in the other, the demon had good news and bad news. After some drunken shenanigans, Natalie had been tricked into selling her soul to the devil, but he offered me a chance to win her soul back. All I’d have to do is find a coin, an enchanted penny that brings its owner a world of good luck. But with one flimsy lead, finding it would be like finding a needle in a haystack. And to add to my problems, I’m not the only one looking for it.

Once Again Perfectly Done

Besides fighting Vampires, Demons, and so on I find myself once again baffled at my similarities. I grew up in Mississippi and knew all too well the story of the crossroads. The story behind Robert Johnson. I love how that tidbit was added. As well as his newly found friends reminding me of someone special from my past. One being my best friend who passed away years ago. Another well told story by the narrator. A++

Enjoyable read, short and sweet.

I enjoyed the pacing quite a bit and found the story to be a step above of the last book. I would have liked to of had more in depth explanations of the world based, but it is a short story after all.

Good characters overall, and enjoyable but cookie cutter plot. The sex over and undertones are overdone and add nothing over all.

Narrator was far more confident in the roles and voices this time around, really pulling me in to the book. Though there were a few missteps at a few emotional/story points later in the book I found to be a bit underdone, leading to a less than desirable feeling after a few turns and confrontations within the story.

Decent short story overall. I enjoyed my time with the tone and characters.
