Abdul Carter is one of the top options for the Tennessee Titans in the NFL Draft, but things got more complicated at the NFL Combine when it was announced that Carter had an issue with his foot. However, there has been an overreaction to the news and Carter is still the best player in the draft. Matthew Stafford and who his next team will be continues to dominate the headlines, but his situation has a monster effect on the Titans quarterback situation. Finally, one of the top options for the Titans in free agency was Trey Smith, but after being tagged by the Kansas City Chiefs, he is off the board.

The Tennessee Titans have given Harold Landry permission to seek a trade as the veteran edge rusher's price tag is simply too high for 2025. While the Titans could get something in return, the odds are high that Landry is simply cut by the Titans at the end of this. Matthew Stafford has been named as a quarterback target for the Titans this offseason, but according to recent reports it sounds like the New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders are the two top contenders to trade for the veteran, but the Raiders getting Stafford would help the Titans out in a big way. Finally, Abdul Carter spoke at the NFL Combine and said he wants to be drafted by the Titans. Based on combine talk, seems like the Titans want him too.

LIVE FROM THE NFL COMBINE: The Tennessee Titans have an interesting decision if they go quarterback in the Draft because Cam Ward has more talent, but Shedeur Sanders appears to be the better fit. However, head coach Brian Callahan clearly prefers more talent over a scheme fit as a general philosophy. Also, Brian Callahan discussed the perceived lack of arm talent for Shedeur Sanders, but talked about the other aspects of his game that make up for it while also acknowledging there is threshold that must be met. Finally, Mike Borgonzi talked about how the tape is their main priority in draft season and how meetings can only make a small difference on the draft board.

The Tennessee Titans are at the NFL Combine this week and hoping to get more information on top prospects like Shedeur Sanders and Cam Ward. The Tennessee Titans have been trying to have their cake and eat it too over the last two seasons and now they need to take their medicine and accept the rebuild ahead. That will require patience and it means some moves like trading for veteran quarterbacks or being aggressive in free agency are off the table. The NFL's projected salary cap has been announced and the additional $20 million will likely have more of a negative impact on the Titans than a positive. Tyler goes over the Titans current salary cap figures. Finally, the Titans could always carve out even more money with potential cuts, but they won't be necessary.
