Publisher's summary

Have you ever been dumped right before the holidays? It sucks.

Luckily, my handsome hockey player roommate steps in with a plan. He's going to volunteer his services as my personal trainer, so that I can get a revenge body and make my ex regret leaving me. But during our long, sweaty sessions at the gym, I find myself becoming more and more attracted to Sven.

His muscles are enough to make any girl swoon. He is sweet and caring with a panty-melting smile.

Did I mention he's my ex's brother?

Ignoring that, Sven might manage to save my Christmas from being an utter disaster, after all.

Still a great holiday romance

This is a great holiday romance as my title suggests it's that time of year I read this book last year and I just couldn't help picking it up on audible and letting it play in the background.. it holds up it's a great book I really enjoyed it, it's sexy it's got a lot of intrigue, romance audible really adds a nice shine to the story too if you're looking for a nice holiday story this is the one for you.

It's a Wonderful Life for Mary

Mary is named after It's a Wonderful Life and her parents own a Christmas tree farm. Mary was dating Sebastain. Mary was hoping they would get engaged. Sebastain left to play professional hockey and they broke up. Sebastain turned into a superficial person and left all his family and friends behind. Sebastain's twin brother, Sven, is Mary's roomate. Sven sees how upset Mary is and proposes to help her get a revenge body since Sven is a personal trainer. Sven also played hockey but due to a injury he can't play right now. Mary and Sven grow close and develop feelings. Mary's family needs her to come for Christmas and request for her to bring Sebastain. Mary doesn't want to tell her parents the truth so she convinces Sven to go home with her and pretend to be Sebastain her fiancée. It's a cute and sweet Christmas themed story. I liked Mary's job of being a narrator for audio books including the ones her sister writes

Cute Read

I really enjoyed listening to Sven who is a former soccer player turned personal trainer after an injury. Mary is an aspiring actress doing voice overs and audiobooks. Sven who is a twin and his brother is Sebastian a hockey player. Mary and Sven are roommates, odd combination since Mary was dating Sebastian Sven’s brother. Sebastian and Mary were in a relationship and he broke her heart. Sven agrees to be Mary personal trainer in hopes of Mary winning back Sebastian. In the process Mary and Sven develop feelings for each other.

How will Sebastian feel when he finds out that his brother Sven and Mary are in a relationship, did Mary’s revengeful tact work for or against her in getting Sebastian back, could Mary and Sven have been secretly crushing on each other, is there an HEA in store for Mary a Sven.

Very Enjoyable Listen.

This was a very fun listen. There were twists and turns, ups and downs, lots of drama, some good laughs, and a great storyline. I loved the characters, they were very entertaining and enjoyable, and the ending was awesome. You'll love it. Definitely worth the listen.

Ruining Christmas . . .

Mary Frost gets dumped by her hockey player boyfriend Sebastian when he left to play for another team. Mary sits at home watching her favorite TV show as she consumes the container of ice cream belonging to her roommate, who happens to be her ex-boyfriend’s twin brother Sven Anderrson. She is crying and tells him about her breakup while she appreciates his body and starts fantasizing! (This is not my visual of devastating sorrow.) Then Sven and Mary verbally bashed Sebastian, recalling his bad points and failures.

Mary blames the breakup on her less-than-desirable body. So she accepts Sven’s offer to be her personal trainer, again taking a long look at the great shape he is in. Rather than focusing on this so-called “revenge body” she is striving for, she focuses more and more on Sven. I’m still trying to see how Sebastian “abandoned” the two of them when he seemed to be focusing on his hockey career, although breaking up by text is a bit “cold”. However, Mary’s instant love for Sven was way too fast. The characters needed to be developed better and the insta-love stretched out to a more believable possibility. Jumping from one brother to the other so quickly is tacky. The reader/listener didn’t have time to get to know the characters and care about them before they showed all their nasty sides. Not connecting with them made the story have little appeal.

The narrator for the audiobook version is Samantha Archer. She does a fair but unimpressive job with the voices. Mary’s voice was okay and had good inflection, but Sven spoke each word in a choppy manner, not like an accent but more like a robot. If the voices are spoken naturally, they can make it easy for the listener to get an accurate idea of what each character is like. That would help to set the mood better as well and provide more enjoyable listening.

cute

The story is ok. Tha narrator speaks in an over annunciation stilted way. My family has a good number of Swedes. None speak as the narrator does.

Twin brothers

The story was a bit slow paced and predictable, but still sweet. Mary is dumped by her boyfriend right before Christmas, the twin brother offers her comfort, becoming her new boyfriend.
The narrator speech was spaced and did not flow naturally. That was the biggest negative for me. It kept me from getting into the story.

You Can't Ruin Christmas

You Can't Ruin Christmas
Book 1 of Snowflake Creek

It is a good book with good characters, Sven and Mary, that have chemistry. I just felt like the book was told and not really felt. The narration is okay but I really didn't like the voice when Sven spoke.

The actress and the personal trainer

Cute story about long time friends and roommates to lovers. You go on a journey with the characters figuring out how to grow, and help each other grow in their careers and dreams.

The voice actor says some words incorrectly, and her voice is kind of dead but rythmic. Honestly she made this book hard to listen to in my opinion.
