About this listen

When Blair Beaufort literally crashes into Bellamy Creek wearing a ball gown and a tiara, I should have towed her car, said goodnight, and sent her packing.

I’m a mechanic, not a hotel manager. I've got enough on my plate trying to keep my shop from going under, my overbearing mother off my back, and my baseball team in contention for the league championship. I don’t have time for a former debutante with zero street smarts and a cash flow problem, even if she is crazy beautiful.

Problem is, she’s stranded in my small town, and I’m hiding a protective streak underneath my broody exterior that runs deep. So I offer her a place to stay and keep my hands to myself.

For exactly one night.

If only she weren't so gorgeous. So funny. So eager to please. She’s a disaster behind the wheel, but she drives me wild without even trying - at work, at home, in the back of my truck...I can’t get enough of the way she makes me feel.

But I know better than to think it can last. She wants a fairy tale, and I’m no prince.

So when it comes time for her to leave, there’s nothing I can do but let her go.

No matter how much it hurts to say goodbye.

I'm not sure how I haven't read any Melanie Harlow before! I actually own quite a few of her eBooks, and now have so many audios from Audible sales. This is the first one I've read and will 100% be binging them now - so amazingly well written, characters were fantastic and so much chemistry, and WOW that was super smoking hot and steamy!! Blair and Griffin were hot, hot, hot! Right from the moment he catches her fainting in her debutant dress and tiara, until she has him under a spell, breaking all his own rules for life and falling in love and hoping she'll stick around town.

I cannot wait to read on in the series, and then go back and read the Cloverleigh Farm series too!

This one was such a fantastic introduction to both her works and the series. I loved the characters and their interactions, and the friendships. Really looking forward now to the next one as we already got a sneak peak at the couple!

Definitely recommend this book, series and Melanie Harlow. Can't believe I haven't picked up one before now, especially since I had them sitting in my library!

Narrators - I have listened to Vanessa Edwin before and I absolutely adore her voice. This was my first Rock Engle experience (in a dozen years of listening to audio I've never heard him before). At first I wasn't sure, but by the middle I warmed up to him. His voice definitely suited Griffin!

My first, but not last, Melanie Harlow!

Haven’t listened to one of her books I disliked. MY OBSESSED. Need more. Keep up the great work.

Love the books

The narration was a little off, didn't seem to match with the character's ages.

cute story

This was a super cute story. Loved all the steamy parts and the characters. Sadly was not a fan of the narrators when they read for the opposite sex. The guy reading for the girl sounded like an old man or an old man trying to be a southern girl. And the female was better but sometimes her male impression was not the best. It just didn’t mesh well. Other then that they did an awesome job and the story and writing was fantastic.

I enjoyed the story and felt the narration added to the effect. Blair’s voice was adorable and I felt Griffin sounded great.

Melanie Harlow has done it again with a great story that maybe fate plays into our plans no matter what we want. Blair and Griffin are brought together by her car needing repairs after an accident. I hope this is the beginning of a new series about Bellamy Creek. There was a little connection with the Cloverleigh Farms books. Great writing and narration. I'm looking forward to more of Bellamy Creek.

Nobody writes small town romances like Melanie Harlow, its like watching a seriously good Hallmark Movie without the cheesy and lots of the steamy. I love grumpy Griffen and quirky Blair and the added treat of small visits from the Cloverleigh Farms characters. Only downside, having to wait for the next book. Oh and Rock Engle should narrate more books..Love.

Harlow is queen of Small Town Romances
