About this listen

Mated werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham must discover what could make an entire community disappear - before it's too late - in this thrilling entry in the number one New York Times best-selling Alpha and Omega series.

In the wilds of the Northern California mountains, all the inhabitants of a small town have gone missing. It's as if the people picked up and left their possessions behind. With a mystery on their hands and no jurisdiction on private property, the FBI dumps the whole problem in the lap of the land owner, Aspen Creek, Inc. - a.k.a. the business organization of the Marrok's pack.

Somehow, the pack of the Wolf Who Rules is connected to a group of vanished people. Werewolves Charles Cornick and Anna Latham are tasked with investigating and soon find that a deserted town is the least of the challenges they face.

Death sings in the forest, and when it calls, Charles and Anna must answer. Something has awakened in the heart of the California mountains, something old and dangerous - and it has met werewolves before.

Charles and Anna go on a road trip with Tag.

My favorite werewolf couple go forth to do battle with one of Brand's wolves, Tag. It is great to see the berserker out and playing a major role in this story.

WE NEED A CROSSOVER!!!! PRETTY PLEASE!

Mrs. Briggs you have done it again! Absolutely loved this installment of the Alpha & Omega series. Loved the character development. The only analysis I can think of to describe how the ending made me feel is like when a Game of Thrones episode would end and you are screaming WTF at the TV. Please hurry with your next novel. It is one of the only escapes that helps with not losing my mind in the returning to normal LA traffic.

Terrible Narrator For a Great Book

I desperately wish audible.com would find a good narrator for this series. The halting cadence is so distracting and the grumbly mumbly voice he uses for some characters is awful (Bran in particular). Lorelei King embodies the Mercy Thompson series. James Marsters embodies the Dresden Files series. Please find the right narrator for the Alpha Omega series!

Great story with rough narration

The narrator's pacing was very odd...filled with hesitations that were distracting! Had to increase the playback speed to try to minimize it. Loved the story and the characters though!

get kleenex

in this installment of the Alpha and Omega series we learn quite a bit more about Lea, where she came from, and what drives her. she truly gains a complexity that, as a side character, she never had.

And if you can keep your eyes dry through the ending you're a tougher person than me.

Noooo!

You can't possibly make us wait another year after that!!! I finished in one day....and now I go back to waiting. Anything I write would be a spoiler so I'll just say I LOVED it and leave it at that.

What a Great Book

This book took more twists and turns than the windy road to Happy Camp. These books are so good my one and only issue is Patricia writes only one per year.

Stupendous

Where to begin love the authors concepts and story development. The narrator is amazing with all the different characters each was uniquely portrayed. The story pulled me in and made me want to stay with the pack. " We will Rock you!" knew the song and sang it with Anna and Lea to get them out of the cave.

Great installment of this series

At first I was confused when I heard the name Sage as a character in the beginning of the book because she had died in an earlier book, but it sorted itself out.

Overall you got to know two characters better, Tag and Leah, so it was really interesting from that point of view and there were hints of other developing stories for the future for this series and the Mercy Thompson series. The narration was similar to the first Alpha and Omega Book, so I didn’t mind that at all.

And the story was compelling, and as promised the Hardesty witches are involved and promise future troubles for the wolves in Aspen Creek. The story was well developed and had some complicated elements, but not so much that it could not be enjoyed as a stand alone story.
