About this listen

The epic finale in the What He Doesn't Know duet.

Left or right. It’s that simple, and it isn’t simple at all. If I turn left, the road will lead me back to the man I promised my life to, the one I’d imagined building a family with, the one who’s done everything in his power to get me back. If I turn right, the road will take me to the man I loved first, the man who brought me back to life, the man who would do anything to keep me.

I knew the fork in the road was inevitable; it was the decision I never wanted to make between choices I didn't know I had. And I love them both.

My heart is destined to exist in two equal halves - one with each man. But one half beats stronger, the vein running deepest, and holds my choice in silence long before I know it for myself. The realization of what I have to do, of the heart I have to break, just might break mine, too.

Left or right. All I have to do is take a breath and turn.

Both Books Were Amazing

They tear you from one emotion to the other, but they are well written and if I was one to re-listen to audiobooks, these would be on that list.

My one and only complaint is the female reader. She did better over time, however, something about the way she breathes out and almost huffs after every single sentence is annoying and she really should work some more on stopping. She did get better over the length of the book and I was slowly able to ignore it, but it is really a major annoyance in listening to her parts.

As for the duet narrations, I LOVE duets, and they are my absolute favorite and always will be. They help me fell the words and emotions and there is nothing better. I wish more audiobooks were done this way.

Wickedly addictive, and simply phenomenal!

What He Always Knew by Kandi Steiner, narrated by Erin Mallon, Jason Clarke, and Sebastian York, is a full length, contemporary romance told in multiple POV. Picking up where the previous book ended, the emotional roller coaster continues in this stunning conclusion. Wickedly addictive, I immediately started it after finishing part one.

Charlie is as confused as ever. Torn between two men who are fighting for her, she has agreed to make a decision in two months. Will she choose her husband, Cameron, the man she vowed to spend her life with? Or will she choose, Reese, her childhood first love?

A perfect conclusion to the duet, and just as heartbreaking as part one. This story completely slayed me. I totally ugly-cried - over and over again. Painfully perfect, I loved every minute. It was beautifully written, heart-wrenching, poetic, captivating, raw, spellbinding, thought-provoking and emotionally gripping. The narration was compelling, keeping me entirely enthralled from start to finish. Simply phenomenal! This duet is one of my favorite stories not only of 2018 but of all time. It's just that good!

Emotionally EPIC

First let me start by saying this duet is so worth the time and the credit and my review may contain spoilers. Make sure you are ready to cry, to fall in love, to fall out of love, to get frustrated and to shout out at the characters. This was an emotional roller coaster for me. I do not believe in cheating on your partner or husband/wife but this book tested my morals to the core. In the first book, I was so mad at her husband and so in-love with the idea of Charlie and Reese. I was in fact rooting for them based on Cameron's treatment of her. I wanted her to end her relationship with Cameron and run to Reese. I wanted Charlie to grow a back-bone and realize she needs more. I wanted Reese to make her whole again. Then comes Cameron's POV at the end of book one and starts to tear at my want of Charlie and Reese. The second book took me over the cliff. The back and forth and the triangle got on my nerves and i found myself saying enough already, make a decision. I started getting mad at Reese and was really angry at Charlie for stringing both men along. Come on already Charlie, make a decision and own it. Emotionally i was all over the place. This is not your typical love triangle. These books will take you from one end of the triangle to another but so worth the emotional tugs. The ending was somewhat surprising for me. I really did not think it would end up that way. It was a hard ending for me because I am still torn. I do not know how to feel and I am invested in these characters. To the Author I say, Kudos. To the readers, I say have fun on this emotionally charged coaster.

Great Series but Erin Mallon...

Geez! She’s so bad! The constant heavy breathing. She narrates every book the same and she’s terrible!
25 stars for Jason Clarke and Sebastian York. Sebastian York’s female voice is better than Erin Mallon’s. She’s just an annoyance in this trio.
STILL A GREAT SERIES AND WORTH YOUR CREDITS!

An Emotional Book for sure!

This book definitely stirred up many emotionals and questions. Honestly, I just didn't know who to cheer the loudest for. The narrators portrayed these characters so well and brought so much emotion to them.. I haven't picked up a book like this in a while, where you just simply can't put it down. Looking forward to book 3.

This duet was everything!

My heart broke and was put back together again by this book. The author captured all the emotions of loss, heart break and the struggle to find yourself again after tragedy.

I can’t recommend this book enough and worth the credit. The narration was amazing!!

Just be prepared to have tissues ready.

It’s an Emotional Journey.

Book one of
The duet made you feel a lot of things and book two is no different. Even into the epilogue. It’s worth the credits and the time.

Messy, Painful and Very Real

The characters in this duet are truly selfish, messed up humans. Cameron represents self destruction at its finest. Reese, the classic narcissist. And our heroin represents the true “victim” mentality. At its core it’s a story of how poor communication, selfishness, and how pain left untreated will leak out and cause pain to everyone around you. I hated each of them for different reasons and could empathize with each of them as well. For me, there isn’t one villain in this story. They were all villains at one point or another, but at a certain point point the empathy faded and their horrid behavior took over the story. I honestly think this was a pretty fair representation of infidelity. Everyone gets hurt in the end.

I'm blown away..

A complete feel good HEA ending would have been impossible considering the situation, but I'm comfortable with the final decision. This emotional roller coaster ride was certainly worth my time and the credit. All the narrator's gave excellent performances. They brought to life the pain the characters felt trying to put the shattered pieces of their broken hearts back together. I highly recommend this love triangle.

🔸️🔸️ GREAT BOOK..GREAT DUET 🔸️🔸️

I loved this series. The story was skillfully told and kept me listening almost non-stop. Although we know that it is never right to stray from our vows, this happens. This book really pulled at my heart strings. The narration by these 3 people was excellent, as always! definitely worth a credit!
