Publisher's summary

Can first love turn into the real deal? Anything can happen in a sizzling Fool’s Gold story from New York Times best-selling author Susan Mallery.

Isabel Beebe thinks she’s cursed in the romance department. Her teenage crush, Ford Hendrix, ignored all her letters. Her husband left her for another...man. So Isabel has come home to dust off her passion for fashion and run the family bridal shop until her parents are ready to sell it. Then she’ll pursue her real dreams. At least, that’s the plan, until sexy, charming Ford returns and leaves her feeling 14 all over again….

Seeing Isabel all grown-up hits bodyguard trainer Ford like a sucker punch. Back when heartbreak made him join the military, her sweet letters kept him sane. Now he can’t take his eyes - or his lips - off her. The man who gave up on love has a reason to stay in Fool’s Gold forever - if three little words can convince Isabel to do the same.

Truly an enjoyable Read!

Any additional comments?

I thought this was a great story. Anyone who has dated or been involved with someone who has been enlisted can relate to the story. You can fantasize about your future life with that individual knowing that they may not even receive your letters but you keep sending them just on the outside chance.... The joy of all Susan Mallory stories is that there are always happy endings and once again she did not disappoint.

Can't get enough of Fool's Gold

Where does Three Little Words rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

WOW....I love this entire series. Anything Fool's Gold / Susan Mallery is an auto buy for me.

What other book might you compare Three Little Words to and why?

Anything Fool's Gold. Robyn Carr's Virgin River series...and Jill Shalvis Lucky Harbor series.

What about Tanya Eby’s performance did you like?

She brings the characters to life. I enjoy reading the books a lot, but the narration makes the experience that much more enjoyable.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

YES

Sexy, Heartwarming, Three Little Words

Three Little Words is a sexy, heartwarming summer hit...out of the park fun!
I love the entire series, and can see the potential for Fool's Gold to continue indefinitely, as Susan Mallery introduces new characters to the town in every installment. I really enjoy Tanya Eby as narrator too. Her voice talent is very appealing for this style of novel.

Isabel and Ford's story is easily one of my favorites. The intensity of their relationship compels the reader to invest in their story. Individually, they are likable, and together, they are adorable.

Definitely Credit Worthy! Enjoy!

ridiculous conclusion.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would not recommend it to a friend. The weak ending ruined the story

Any additional comments?

The book was good, up until the conclusion, which was hastily and unsatisfactorily written.
The characters were likable, but my impression of the book was diminished due to the
abrupt ending, which was totally out of character for Ford and Isabel .

I love a happy ending.

So much of my life has been truly hard. There have been so very few happy endings for me. I have loved Susan Mallery's writing from the first book I ever read. (Pretty sure that book was Delicious). I also enjoy listening to Tanya Eby. Well done.

"Great story, narrator less than desirable"

Would you try another book from Susan Mallery and/or Tanya Eby?

The story was good, but the narrator has moments of robotic accent. Her accent was somewhat Midwestern at times and clipped and short like you were listening to a automated response from a computer. So I would listen to another one of Susan's books as long as the Tanya wasn't the narrator.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Three Little Words?

I liked that Ford and Isabel had such a history. They had their sweet moments. I also enjoyed the secondary romance between Kent and Consuelo.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Tanya Eby?

Grace Grant, Jill Redfield

Was Three Little Words worth the listening time?

It was hard to adjust to the narration, but the story was compelling enough to ignore it.
