About this listen

An instant New York Times best seller.

The Friendship List is a must. Susan Mallery is at the top of her game.” (Fresh Fiction)

“Mallery beautifully illustrates the power of female friendship and the importance of reaching for one’s dreams. This irresistible, heartfelt story will appeal to romance readers and women’s fiction fans alike.” (Publishers Weekly)

The Friendship List is a sassy, sensuous tale about two women who discover their femininity for the first time.” (New York Journal of Books)

“Best Book of August 2020.” (CNN.com)

A witty, heartfelt, and irresistible story about two best friends determined to help one another shake things up and live life to the fullest in a summer that will change them forever.

Susan Mallery, number-one New York Times best-selling author of California Girls and Sisters by Choice, has delivered the perfect escape about the power of female friendship and the importance of making your dreams come true.

Single mom Ellen Fox couldn’t be more content - until she overhears her son saying he can’t go to his dream college because she needs him too much. If she wants him to live his best life, she has to convince him she’s living hers.

So Unity Leandre, her best friend since forever, creates a list of challenges to push Ellen out of her comfort zone. Unity will complete the list, too, but not because she needs to change. What’s wrong with a 30-something widow still sleeping in her late husband’s childhood bed?

The Friendship List begins as a way to make others believe they’re just fine. But somewhere between “wear three-inch heels” and “have sex with a gorgeous guy”, Ellen and Unity discover that life is meant to be lived with joy and abandon in a story filled with humor, heartache, and regrettable tattoos.

Don't miss The Summer Getaway by Susan Mallery, where one woman discovers the beauty in chaos in a poignant and heartwarming story about the threads that hold family together.

Good

Speedy… reader was very FAST!! Even when I slowed down the speed of the audible. Hard to focus and really get the whole story. I’ll have to read this book not listen to it, but not sure I will. Story line not really what I thought it would be a story line I wanted to read or listen too.

Flower opening

This book had me laughing out loud and cheering for growth. It is not always easy to move pass a love but knowing it takes courage each time to put yourself out there again and who knows if just may find a soft landing . This book also shows how parents can mess a child up.

Not her best writing to me

I look forward to reading each of Susan Mallory's books and love her writing. This book does not represent her best writing because by the end of it, I still was on the outside observing the story instead of immersed in it. I knew where it was going and there really wasn't anything that grabbed me and pulled me in our a plot twist or two that kept me in suspense. Narrating did the usual good job. It's still a nice story two women moving on in their lives.

Trust issue meltdown

Demanding your teenage daughter go on birth control pills....because you're a insecure trust issue riddled Father doesn't gain any points here. Stupidest storyline. Neurotic Dad. Absolutely hypocritical parents. Having mad monkey sex....on the field trip. Then judging the teenagers for doing the same. WORST CHAPERONES EVER
