Calming, repetitive, non stimulating

Helps put my kiddos to sleep by the calming, easy, low tone & voice; repetitive phrasing; non-stimulating, almost boring storyline.

Actually worked!

I have a 3 year old who hates sleep. We got to the part about the sleepy rainbow flowers and she tucked HERSELF in and was out like a light. I was so happy but shocked haha.

She did fight it a lot. She told me to turn it off, tried to have a convo with her daddy, went off to play while humming to try to drown it out, yelled that she wasn’t going to lay down or close her eyes—everything lol. But it got her to sleep in the end.

Her dad and I already fall asleep using meditation apps, so the fact that there’s finally a children’s story that relaxes children and helps them sleep is amazing!

She also slept in an extra half-hour, which is actually pretty huge for her, and she slept through the night.

Sleep magic

We started using Alex the Tractor to reduce bedtime angst in a peaceful way. The tractor was a nice lure for my wheels interested kid. It is really well done and it will lull adults to sleep too. :-) My 4 yr old said it helped him to relax and fall asleep. He’s 5 now and still likes to listen to Alex the Tractor often. Definitely worth it!

Even better than the Rabbit!

You will fall asleep... and your child.

I've really enjoyed this author's books to help your child fall asleep. We've been listening for years. This is the same author who wrote the Rabbit Who Wants to Fall Asleep and the Elephant. I like how there are

more events present in this book than the Rabbit book, which just seems to give you more sections you can fall while listening to. I also like how characters from the other books pop up in this book. My kids usually fall asleep by the star counting part. My husband said he liked the "putting the things keeping you awake in a boat" part. I said, "what boat part?" It took awhile for me to last that long.

The narrator did his best job yet. He read the other books. My kids were fine with the previous narration, but my husband said his voice was scary in the Rabbit book. We all like it in this book. The voice is soothing and yet like he is smiling.

One little thing I find extremely important is when the story ends there is not the really loud voice recording that scares you awake saying, "Audible hopes you enjoyed bla bla bla". This isn't present with the Rabbit book, but is in our Audible recording of the Elephant book. It scared me awake at times. No worries here. You can sleep until you wake up uncomfortable on your kid's bunk bed. Then go to your big bed and listen to it again so you can get back to sleep.

Game Changer!!

So far the only thing that works to get kids (6 &9) to sleep. We are in the process of adopting so lots of back and forth from their guardian to us. They also are very nervous about the dark so lots of stress at bedtime. This cut our calm down time to 20 min rather than the 3 hours it was taking to get them to sleep. No more getting up every 10 minutes. They both now request the tractor story every night. Thank you for this life saver.

Obnoxiously repetitive.

We didn't make it past the 5 minute mark because they say " fall asleep " about 100 times in 4 minutes. That was awful.
