This is a wonderful book. Well structured and covering all the significant topics concerning sleep for babies, this book should be the first book to read for any new parent.
Being so recently published, it speaks about the science and discoveries of our days.
Listening to the audio version has helped me countless times getting calm incredibly quickly in times of despair when the baby was crying, tired in my arms, not willing to sleep. In a really short time, my newly gained peace would be transferred to him too, and helped him get asleep so easy.
Thank you for your efforts of putting together all this valuable information and being a real friend to sleep deprived mothers.
One of the best baby sleep books I've read

I'm weary of that as it didn't work with my first baby. I didn't know what she wanted and when. The screams and cries all sounded the same to me. The instincts were not helping. I thought she was dying all the time and my anxiety and stress were high. What other job do you perform based on instinct alone? Do you want a surgeon who performs medical surgeries based on his instinct alone? How silly.
I've been reading these kind of books pregnant with my second because I seek to sharpen my education on sleep and feeding practices.
This book didn't start citing research until the last 3 hours of listening. Then I heard reasons why bed-sharing is not a real SIDs risk, why if you follow 7 rules about your sleeping area ("Safe Sleep 7"), he won't suffocate, and why American policies are just trying to scare you out of sleeping with your baby. It's true, my hospital made me watch videos of babies getting crushed and smothered and dying on the couch before I left the hospital and it frightened the living heck out of me... this book tells me that won't happen because I'm a good mom and my instincts will kick in before he gets hurt. 👍
I'm iffy. Do I really want to take that risk even if it is a 2 in a million chance? Not really... people always say you never think it can happen to you until it happens one day. :/ Why should I even be on the fence about a 0.01% chance my child could die? This sucks. Book was long and boring and repetitive (like this sentence), but I listened to the whole thing hoping for some hope.
I am on the fence
