About this listen

In The Sackett Brand, Louis L'Amour spins the story of a courageous man who must face overwhelming odds to track down a killer.

Tell Sackett and his bride Ange came to Arizona to build a home and start a family. But on Black Mesa, something goes terribly wrong. Tell is ambushed and badly injured. When he finally manages to drag himself back to where he left Ange, she is gone. Desperate, cold, hungry, and with nothing to defend himself, Tell is stalked like a wounded animal. Hiding from his attackers, his rage and frustration mount as he tries to figure out who the men are, why they are trying to kill him, and what has happened to his wife. Discovering the truth will be risky. And when he finally does, it will be their turn to run.

Sad but good

For someone who is listening to the Sackett books from beginning to end you get attached to some of the people in the books. To see one of them killed is hard but the way Mr L'Amour brings the clan together makes this book one of my favorites!

Make the Sackett series into a TV show

Someone needs to make the Sackett series a TV show. One like the old days of TV, without all the sexual and nudity garbage, but with the video quality of today. Starting with Barnabas Sackett and then on down the line. It would be an amazing show to watch.

Another excellent book performed well.

Actually, this is one of my favorite LL books because it's as if he had walked those trails himself,

Great time with the Sacketts.

Even though the forshadowing was not subtle and you could figure out how it was gonna end, it was satisfying.

Tell’s revenge

This book is an excellent story! This is the very way that a man would react to such a situation when someone that was dearly loved is taken away in such a savage way, especially without law enforcement to depend on.

One of the best!

This is one of my favorite Sackett stories by Louis Lamour! I have read the book and listened to the story a number of times. I especially enjoy David Strathairn's narration. If you haven't read the Sackett novels, do so! Start at the very beginning. Lamour truly brought his characters to life.
