Nice story and awesome performance

Would you consider the audio edition of The Silver Chair to be better than the print version?

Both are nice. Audio edition is nice when I don't have time to set down to read. I listen to it in the gym.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Silver Chair?

The prince appeal to the children to set him free.

What about Jeremy Northam’s performance did you like?

the way he mimic the owl speaking is quite cute.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not really. I have read the book before

Our favorite audio book

What did you love best about The Silver Chair?

We've probably listened to about a dozen children's and young adult audio books (including the preceding Narnia ones, which were also great), and this is our favorite. The book is a children's classic no doubt, but the narrator Jeremy Northam does an extraordinary job of bringing all of the characters to life in a way that's interesting to both the children and adults listening to it.

Superb reading of one of the best Narnia books

I wish Jeremy Northam could have read all the books in this series. The Silver Chair is exciting and thoughtful with less of the rather forced political and social satire that afflicts some of the other Narnia books. I have listened to this recording many times without tiring of it.

superior narrator

deep, rich, incredible story. supposedly written for children, but if you listen to the themes, the subtle humor, and the spiritual richness in the story, it can be life-changing. and just a lot of fun.

Narration and story in perfect rhythm!

The narrator performance is just right for the natural rhythm of the story that bounces between serious adventure and children's story. I will try to mimick this performance when I read this to my kids!
