Publisher's summary

Varsity coach Mitch Holden thinks he's seen everything until Scotswoman Emma McGregor steps out of her car, in a bridal dress and veil, and asks him where she can find a job. Mitch is stunned but directs her somewhere to stay...and finds himself unable to keep from checking up on her.

Emma McGregor has had the worst day of her life. Finding out her groom didn't really want to marry her was a devastating blow, but Mitch and the town of Marietta reach out to her in a way she couldn’t have imagined. Nowhere seems to do Christmas like Marietta does.

But Mitch has secrets of his own. Everyone knows about the injury that tragically ended his promising football career, but there's more to the story.... Will the magic of Marietta sprinkle some Christmas dust on their broken hearts and help them find their happy ever after?

ending was rushed

It started off good and well paced. I understood their mindsets and actions. I couldn't understand why the ending was so rushed. Such a serious life decision with a stranger and so little time

A Christmas romance

A short book with a romance and a secret. Sweet and full of Scottish brogue. Quite nice to listen to while running errands. Easy listen.

Love A Scottish Brogue!

I totally enjoyed this story. Emma the runaway Christmas bride and Mitch, the guy who helped her. Both of them felt they were broken and not enough but found a special kind of love with each other I loved the characters and I loved the town. I also loved Elle Newlands Scottish brogue with her English being just as good. And ,I didn’t miss a man’s voice performing Mitch. A quick easy lovely story that I’m so happy I found.

This book was so emotional. Both of them thinking they would never have love only to find the perfect one., with the help of a little Christmas magic.

Super sweet 1st sight romance. bad Narration.

Loved the story. It was short, succinct and truly roma tic. However the nattators accent during the times of the male point of view and other characters dialog weird was confusing. I wish she would ha e just read it straight with an American a cent for all.

Lover of a Runaway Christmas

I thought this story was really fun. It was a simple love story, good enough to have its own hallmark movie.

Needs a trigger warning

The story was cute and short so not too deep. But there should be a warning about the content for the many women who have or are currently struggling to start a family.
