About this listen

Finn's adventure continues!

He and his companions face tough challenges in the form of new dungeons, new enemies, and inner demons. Finn learns life-changing information about his family's history, in the old world and the new. The orc threat looms large. The unwanted attention of nobles like Lord Winterborn, even the King himself, threatens Finn's safety and that of his people.

Can he overcome, and survive? It'll take all his training, his strength of character, and more than a little help from his friends.

Narrated in duet style.

Amazing book. The foundation is set, and I can’t wait to see where this story goes.

Excellent continuation of the story. Narration was fantastic as well. Can’t wait for book 3.
If you enjoyed the first book then you’ll like this one as well.

All around fantastic second book!

I understand the MCs story is one that starts with tragedy but he cries at the drop of a hat and rarely seems to learn from past experiences. I am a bit disappointed that he does not mature very much from book 1 to book 2.

MC Does not grow.

I really enjoyed the book. The characters play well with each other. Light on drama, which I like. The story ended at a good point.

Interesting and enjoyable story

I enjoyed the book. Didn’t want to put it down. The two worlds make it a different kind of litrp.

While Dave Willmarth's writing prose is still very good, Book 2 transitioned from a story of a MC struggling to become strong to reclaim his family's kingdom to one where the MC becomes over-the-top OP (OTTOP) and mired into building his town, worrying about royals and even somehow quickly acquiescing to become the king's dog in settling a matter with an unsavory royal.

There are ample battles and court intrigue but most of it seems less exciting.

I'll not continue the series.

Lost a lot of its charm
