Som Bathla, an avid reader, researcher, and an Amazon best-selling author of multiple books reveals the answers to above and much more in his book THE INTELLIGENT THINKING.

THE INTELLIGENT THINKING was written as a succinct guide revealing most effective thinking strategies (though some might sound counter-intuitive) to address all your curiosity on how to think intelligently.

Here is what you will learn in THE INTELLIGENT THINKING

  • How human brain operates and how precisely thinking process works within our mind?
  • How Elon Musk transformed himself from an internet multimillionaire to a space rocket industry leader with this first principle thinking.
  • How your thinking abilities are not dependent on your IQ and what matters most as per Warren Buffett.
  • Different types of thinking people follow (check where you find yourself).
  • Most common thinking errors that trip you up for making irrational, illogical decisions and triggered by your emotions.
  • Beware of your thinking patterns marketers misuse to sell you more of what you never wanted.
  • And much much more....

Albert Einstein once rightly said: “The world we have created is a product of our thinking; it cannot be changed without changing our thinking.”

THE INTELLIGENT THINKING is for anyone and everyone who is convinced about the limitless potential of human mind and is sincerely looking for the ways to become an intelligent thinker.

Become a better analyst ...

Never underestimate the hard work and lower probability of success, just because we are shown more successful people than many more actual failures. If you're looking for a book to help you get ahead, or improve you as a human being look no further...
I would say at the end sit down with a pen and paper and try to apply each to your life to consolidate the learning, make a list of all and in important decisions make sure they are error free.
An amazing thought-provoking reference tool you can use anywhere in your life and which will help you become a better analyst for human communication and development.

There is a lot of good stuff in here ...

There is a lot of good stuff in here, regarding tips for being more focused on learning new things, recapping them to yourself, taking overview notes, teaching yourself what you're learning, and learning to think abstractly and analogously about problems, all of which I found useful and will work into my life in varying degrees based on how relevant they are to me. Now, I'm all for learning and having a broad knowledge-base, but my brain doesn't always cooperate with me, and most of the time it feels like new info coming in pushes other info out so I hope this book can help me with that :)

Easy to listen... to-the-point ...

Easy to listen. To-the-point. Easy to grasp. Very practical advice. I choose it because it made sense. If you are looking to understand more about the way the mind works, you can't go wrong with this tome. I highly recommend it.

Help yourself to be more effective ...

A recommended listen to every modern man. Life is short, intelligence is limited, help yourself to be more effective at problem solving by understanding how problem solving works.

First you need to develop habits that help you create high quality causal knowledge. Next you need to describe the problem in a way that you can make use of your knowledge. Last, you need to be able to evaluate your solution without biases.

Easy to listen, makes sense, appreciated. I wish I learned this in school.

Feed your mind with quality knowledge ...

I'm impressed. There are many hints for becoming a better thinker, which can be used. Something between self-improvement and a primer on cognitive psychology. This book isn't telling us what to think, but rather HOW to think, and think smarter! Good health requires learning about the body, eating right, and exercising. Mental health requires learning about the mind, feeding your mind with quality knowledge, and forming smart habits that make you more effective. Listening this book will set you on the path to Intelligent Thinking! I liked it and will listen again.

Think differently ...

A beautiful book, with distinct research areas connecting the dots on what fallacies we follow and what the actuality is. The examples given are accurate and effective in understanding. It is difficult to say that we may adopt all the recommendations, however even if we are able to adopt some of them, it would be a success story. The author has connected all the fallacies with each other. This is a great non-fiction book for people who want to learn more about how they think, or anyone looking for an interesting book that's easy to pick up and make you think differently. I think this is a wonderful book.

Quite a worthwhile trade of about three hours ...

While the big bang for the buck for this book will be through the print version, and following along and performing the exercises as they appear - it makes a good showing though the audio version.

If you chose the latter vehicle, it is best to limit distractions and mentally, at least, stop and perform the exercises as they come up. It is about a 3-4 hour listen.

One of the early points in this book is that raw intelligence is merely an indicator of potential. Truly smart people can access that intelligence more readily and - the critical difference - act on it. The author uses plenty of examples for this, and other points similarly throughout.

The book covers, at length, advantages of, and techniques of how to, make self-explanations; to verify knowledge retention (writing reviews like this, btw, is one technique).

There is much made of making comparisons; reusing past experiences, and making analogies to interpret and package new experiences.

Quite a worthwhile trade of about three hours.
