About this listen

A good Healer, they say, must use his Gift professionally. Really? No one in my past world would spout such nonsense! Everyone there knew full well what a Healer from the Order was capable of . . . And they also know that a Healer doesn't have to kowtow to anybody.

But now, I'm no longer in that world. And in this world, I am not only a great Healer, I am also a great count, one that can do far more than heal, as my enemies know full well. But little do they know that I've only just begun!

I'm on my way to restoring the Bulatov Family's fiefdom, and I have everything I need now, including forces from another world. Yes, why wouldn't Offworlders want to serve me? After all, the benefits I provide are excellent, especially the health care.

Of course, in return they must work hard . . . What can I say? Either work, or keep out of my way!

Great Addition but still no love?

So we are 7 books in and I understand that the family is constantly moving war to war but there has definitely been enough downtime for this ship to sail. Why do the whole play with “I’m ready” but make them never have the convo? Just seems odd. I hope something happens relationship wise but from that setup I doubt it.

Bird conversations

Nothing new… it’s fine until it sucks ass . …especially bad with the bird.

Most every scene is the same…
-MC is pondering how great he is in some way, then someone comes to attack.
-MC sends his people to go fight
…random nonsense about this type of mech suit or that type of firearms (that mean nothing)
-MCs forces (even though they are outnumbered and outgunned) win the fight and steal all the new toys.
-scene cuts to “20min earlier”, where a smug bad guy is fully convinced they have and will win, but then find out they have been defeated.
-They call the MC and ask how he dares…

Rinse and repeat… … … oh also have way too much dialogue going to a pigeon
