Publisher's summary

The adventures of the middle-aged vigilante continue in episode two. Who said this old man was quitting? Nope, he's just beginning! This journalist-turned-vigilante has one thing in mind: revenge and kicking zombie butt! This is Resident Evil, retro style!

After the events of episode one and barely surviving the first outbreak in the hospital, George now knows the Hybrid Corporation is a company that will stop at nothing to get what they want.

Looking to avenge his friend Dave, George knows that Dave was murdered, but the NYPD is calling it a suicide. George decides to make a huge change in his life by becoming a vigilante and try to expose Hybrid without the help of local authorities, whom he believes are in cahoots with Hybrid.

His next mission brings him to the Clark Family mansion located in the heart of Brooklyn, New York. In an attempt to gather more dirt on Hybrid, he finds out that the area by the mansion was never quarantined properly. Zombies are swarming the streets, and he's forced to run into the mansion for safety.

What George doesn't know is that the mansion will be anything but safe. Everybody has been exposed by the Raven Hawk virus, along with the creatures inside. He'll have to use his lockpicking skills to unlock the mansion along with its deadly secrets. George will also learn a new skill, which is ammo-crafting, where he'll create customizable ammo.

What dirty secrets will he find in the mansion beside the numerous amounts of zombies, spiders, frogs, and mutated lizards? What new biohazard creatures will he have the dishonor of bumping into? Will he find out the identity of the mystery woman who helped him back in the hospital? The biggest question is, can George trust anyone, or has he become the most wanted vigilante?

Find out, as the conspiracy plot grows along with the horrors of being locked in a mansion with everything inside wanting to kill George. Be warned, the secrets will forever change his life and the peaceful town of Cypress Hills.

Loved the pick up on narration.Great story..

This book is a great extension of the first. Totally in the game with this one. George is back and on top of things. Hard mode engaged but couldn't imagine nightmare. Oh and the power of Bacon will always prevail... Angel Ramon has done it again seems each episode just keeps getting better.... Looking forward to listening to the next.. really enjoy being put into the game!

The wild ride continues

Angel does a great job continuing his series. A lot of action, and the writing improved quite a bit from the first one. The narrator is perfect for the MC George.

Fast listen, takes a bit to get used to the third person present tense but is enjoyable once you get into it.

Good sequel

It continues the story nicely. The main character is interesting and pretty hardcore. There is plenty of really cool action in this book. The narrator does a good job but does accents as good as I would. Which is to say, he doesn’t even try. But he has a good narrator’s voice and has some variation for different characters.

All hail the king of gamelit horror!

Angel Ramon is a writing mad man! He has released countless books in his popular "The Fifth Survivor" series. They are making their way to audible now and I love it. There aren't a lot of horror gamelit books out there. Mr. Ramon has got you covered there. All of his covers are awesome and the content inside matches it. Great narration only adds to the fun. Don't hesitate, buy now!

great listen

The narrator cracked me up! It was like listening to an MMA announcer. I definitely enjoyed hearing this episode over reading the first.
