Story
Marathons have become too easy for some runners. What was once the pinnacle of achievement in a runner's life is now a stepping stone for extraordinary adventure in ultramarathoning. The number of ultrarunners - those running distances of 50k (31 miles), 50 miles, 100k (62 miles), or 100 miles - is growing astronomically each year. To date, there has been no practical guide to ultramarathoning. Now, Bryon Powell has written Relentless Forward Progress, the first how-to manual for aspiring ultrarunners.

While a blessedly lucky few can afford to pound back slice after slice of pizza without noticeably gaining weight, the rest of us who give the slightest damn in the world about our weight have to be careful about what we put in our bodies. For the woefully unlucky few, even staring sidelong at a bagel can cause them to gain 10 pounds immediately. We have to count calories, look at packaging labels, try diet after fad diet that doesn't move the needle on the scale.

Story
Losing fat is tough. The biggest issue us women face is a complete lack of information. I mean, look at how it is marketed to us in the first place. We’re told to lose "weight" all the time. Losing weight and losing fat are two completely different things. You could lose weight and still be the unhealthiest person in the world. You can eat as much as you want and eat as healthy as you think you can, but if you follow this wrong goal, you won’t get the results you desire.

Repetitive and boring!
This book could’ve been written in way less pages. It felt like getting down to the main point was an exercise in frustration. As if the writer just wanted to fill in with blank words to make a “longer” book. I became bored and not interested pretty quickly.
