What does God want? Sounds like a simple question, but if you give it a bit of thought, it’s really not. For starters, you have to know who’s asking the question. People will ask it for a lot of different reasons. Best-selling author Dr. Michael S. Heiser shows listeners that the answer is pretty simple. That might surprise you. There’s actually a long, remarkable story behind the answer - one that isn’t well known by most people interested in the question.

Story
In his latest book, Angels, Dr. Heiser reveals what the Bible really says about God's supernatural servants. Heiser focuses on loyal, holy heavenly beings because the Bible has a lot more to say about them than most people suspect. Most people presume all there is to know about angels is what has been passed on in Christian tradition, but in reality, that tradition is quite incomplete and often inaccurate. Angels is not guided by traditions, stories, speculations, or myths about angels.

Are demons real? Are they red creatures with goatees holding pitchforks and sitting on people's shoulders while whispering bad things? Did a third of the angels really rebel with Satan? Are demons and "principalities and powers" just terms for the same entities, or are they different members of the kingdom of darkness? Is the world a chaotic mess because of what happened in Eden, or is there more to the story of evil? In Demons, Michael Heiser debunks popular presuppositions about the very real powers of darkness.

There are giants among us, passing largely unnoticed, intent on carrying out a secret plan to enslave all humanity. They may not look like giants today, but their bloodlines extend all the way back to the Nephilim—the offspring of angels who mated with human women described in Genesis 6 when giants roamed the land. Gary Wayne, author of The Genesis 6 Conspiracy: How Secret Societies and the Descendants of Giants Plan to Enslave Humankind, details the role of modern-day Nephilim in Satan's plan to install the Antichrist at the End of Days.

Story
The book of Enoch was thought to be lost for over 2,000 years until, in 1773, a traveller brought three copies back from Ethiopia. Whether or not this ancient book was actually authored by Enoch, the father of Methuselah and great-grandfather of Noah, is an ongoing debate among historians and theologians. But all recognise the book of Enoch as one of the most important apocalyptic works outside of the Bible.

By far, the leading interpretation of todays Church regarding the age of this planet, Earth, takes us back to approximately 4004 BC: the year believed to be Adams creation. However, just as Galileo challenged the Church to accept that Earth circles the sun (not the other way around), it is far beyond time for traditional interpretations regarding our planets earliest ages (and what occurred between God and Lucifer during those eras) to be updated in light of what we know today. Once this is done, the evidence overwhelmingly stacks in favor of a harmony between science and theology.

Volume 2 - Lost Festivals and the Prophetic Timeline: According to ancient texts that contain completely accurate prophecies to date, we are on the precipice of entering the final jubilee of the Church Age. Who could have known how much influence the writings of a mysterious group of prophets and scribes hundreds of years before Christ would have on our understanding of end-times prophecy? As it turns out, much of what we’ve been taught about Israel in the First Century is incomplete. There were, in fact, Jewish believers who knew exactly what to expect in His first coming: that He would ...

In our modern age the biblical Genesis flood account has been probed and analyzed for answers to scientific, apologetic, and historical questions. It is a text that has called forth flood geology, fueled searches for remnants of the ark on Mount Ararat, and inspired a full-size replica of Noah's ark in a biblical theme park. Some claim that the very veracity of Scripture hinges on a particular reading of the flood narrative. But do we understand what we are reading? Longman and Walton urge us to ask, what might the biblical author have been saying to his ancient audience?

The church has too often lost its way in reading the Old Testament for lack of sound principles of interpretation. When careless habits get us off track, we can lose sight of what the Bible is really saying, derailing our own spiritual growth and even risking discredit to God's word. We need a consistent approach to give us confidence as faithful interpreters. In Wisdom for Faithful Reading, trusted Old Testament scholar John Walton lays out his best practices developed over four decades in the classroom.

Jesus declared war on an ancient enemy at the very beginning of His ministry. He hinted at the identity of this entity through the locations of His baptism, the Transfiguration, and the Olivet Discourse. This enemy was cast down from the mountain of God. He's deceived millions in sacrificing their children on his altars. And he returns from the bottomless pit at the end of the age—a prophecy encoded into the art and architecture of the United States Capitol. This entity may be more dangerous than Satan himself.

Integrity in Purpose
I can only say that I wish I could have met Dr. Micheal S. Hieser in person, not because of any interest of celebrity but because he simply wished and desired to speak the truth of what the Bible (as it has been handed down to us) says as a scholar forensic linguist; to share a common love of God together. And to simply tell him thank you.
Coming from a very void family imparting of truth of God and many confused (intentional or not) church teaching experience left me both depressed (spiritually) and determined (spiritually) to seek the truth of and about God. Dr. Micheal S. Heisar was a flood of clean water that reignited my spiritual life and desire to evangelize. Now, am well on my to doing just that.
This and all Dr. Micheal S. Heiser's books and YouTube content constantly grows me and preps for my understanding by imparting skills for expanding my ability to understand receive and receive important insights.
I look forward to see you in the Kingdom Brother.
Overwhelming Gratitude,
Kent Ahava-Shli

Great insight. This book encourages me to read the Bible all over again. Several dots are connected that provide an even clearer view of the Bible, Old and New Testament connection, and give a better view of Messiah. It also helps with understanding of how God used select people to write His word in the context of their time, but the word stands the test of time.
