I was pleasantly surprised. Fast pace action so I’m pretty much engaged in the story and action. I found a new series to exercise to.

well written.
good narration.
enjoyable characters
the only reason I took off a star because the "twist" at the end was predictable. Not that it was bad but you can see it a mile a way. As the character was introduced I knew where it was headed. (This could be that I just listen listen and read a lot of spy thrillers) Still very much worth listening to and because the characters are enjoyable I'll continue with the series.

entertaining in a mild fashion but kind of standard recipe. good guy who gets screwed comes to rescue a senator while keeping family safe. all is well at the end author likely writes for NCIS in his down time or some other similar show.

Book contained an interesting story which very easily could be happening now. Our government is not using the interest of the public to govern but using special interests to make many of the decisions. Leaders are deciding how to buy votes and secure money from special interests instead of leaving and governing for the people.
