Can't complain

Can't complain it being a free book and all. although the curse words were a bit much it gave the story the effect desired.

interesting not at all what I really expected

this was an interesting short story about a gentleman who was owed money and decide to kidnap the kids of the person that owed him money. Blink and you'll miss it because it then turns into a violent bloodbath. I wish we had a few more details to make the story blend. but I have to say it did keep my attention and left me wondering.

Eh....

The story was...alright. Too many unnecessary cuss words. The narrative was done too quickly, which I suppose made the story seem a little shorter. I won't listen to more by this author.

Could be better with another narrator

The narrator read way to fast. He didn't pause and inflect when necessary. The story could possibly been better understood with another narrator. I'm thinking this story would be a much better read than listen.

Download with Caution

Original story. Don't mind some profantiy, but this went beyond anything that supported the story or environment. Would have enjoyed it much more but the profanity was too excessive!

Not Nearly Enough Butter

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I'd say you would have to be a fan of short stories of this genre.

Has Tender Hearts Taste Better in Butter turned you off from other books in this genre?

I'm not a huge fan of the horror genre but thought I'd give a short story a try. I don't think this was a real "horror" story so I might have to give something with a little more substance a try.

Would you be willing to try another one of Weston Ochse’s performances?

I don't think so. I enjoy when the author narrates their own story, but I think he kind of rushed through it: I had to check my phone a few times to see if I accidentally increased the narration speed but I didn't. He was clear enough but it just felt like he wanted to hurry up and read it so he can get back to doing something else.

Can't get past the reader

The story might be fantastic, but I can't get past the reader. I feel bad saying this because the reader is the author. Some people just don't have the knack for bringing people into a story, or at least for bringing ME into a story. Stefan Rudnicki, Sean Runnette and Will Patton kind of spoil you. Here, the author sounds like he's reading it and I can't immerse myself in the story. I might try this in Kindle format later.

silly

I am a fan of Joe Ledger, Capt. Nothing and Sandman Slim. This is an attempt at that type of humor. It was just an attempt that did not work for me. There were lots of dirty words, which does not bother me and lots of politically incorrect situations that I usually love. Ochse might have a future, but this sounded like something a freshman in high school would write.

To see how this is done well, read Jonthan Maberry, Joe R. Lansdale, Richard Kadry or Steve Vernon.

Fun story. A little silly for me.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes it was. It's a very short story and it was a fun listen. Perfect for Halloween.

Would you recommend Tender Hearts Taste Better in Butter to your friends? Why or why not?

If they love graphic gore this is for them.

What about Weston Ochse’s performance did you like?

The author does a marvelous job on this. Best thing about the download!

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

Probably not. It's fun but not my type of movie.

Any additional comments?

If you can stretch your imagination into believing that ghouls and demons are all around us, than this story is right up your alley.

Interesting short story

The story is interesting enough. The narrator has a good voice for the short story worth the cursing and all but he read as if he were running and telling the story to someone passing by.
