Publisher's summary

We can live without food for up to 30 days. We can live without water for three days. But without hope, our souls are but a barren wasteland. Christ has gifted the world with enough hope to sustain not just humanity, but the entire universe!

Sunrise Reflections is a devotional that reminds us of God's love, our own self-worth, and will give you hope amidst a world of chaos and despair.

Right now, all across the world, many people are losing hope. It is being replaced by fear - fear of the unknown, fear of poverty, fear of a global pandemic; fear of death and violence, fear of turmoil and social upheaval. We are in the middle of transition, and change frightens people.

My primary purpose for writing this book was to rekindle hope within the hearts and minds of humanity, especially my fellow Christians, because we are the ones who harbor the ultimate hope of the universe.

Every day I have to remind myself that God is in control, no matter how bleak it may look in the news. Lately, I’ve been spending less time in the news and more time in the Bible; less time talking about politics and more time talking to God.

There is no doubt that the world is coming upon hard times, dark times...times where tyrants would snuff out that tiny spark of hope we guard within the privacy of our own hearts. But each day, I struggle to remember who I am in Christ, of his promises, of his love, and of his power.

In reality, the battle belongs to the Lord, and the only way we can be defeated is by giving up. Surrender and despair is of the evil one. He wants you to give up, because it’s the only way he can win. He will isolate you, discourage you, and try to render you impotent. But don’t fall for that. Every new sunrise is a reminder of God’s power and love for His creation. So hold on to the promise that every new sunrise represents.

God loves you. He will be with you always...even to the end of the age. And the son has already risen!

Hopeful, Wisdom filled, Entertaining

It is a worthwhile read, educational and a productive use of time. I think anyone will be able to glean from Skip's life experience and take aways.

I might not agree fully with his theology or may just misunderstand him due to his way of speaking about certain doctrines of God.

Just What I Was Thinking

Stumbled upon this title, not knowing what to expect. Novel? Inspirational? Biographical? What I got was my own style. I am amazed that this journal-type writing was compelling—from beginning to end. I may have just been inspired, indeed.
