About this listen

Wang Fan will bring forth the storm of souls, or die trying.

Once a simple detective, Wang's world changed forever when he learned of Sinotech's evil plan to sacrifice humanity for the sake of a few elites. But now that the Naturalism Sect has the Sun's Blood, they have a chance to end their foe’s tyranny. It all depends on a simple mission in the First Heaven, the foundation and heart of the Grand Kingdom.

But plans rarely go as intended.

Chaos ensues as demon spawns gather, plots within plots boil over, and the Black Corpses are sent to hunt any who oppose Sinotech.

Having no other option, Wang and his former adversary, Itsuki Saito, are forced to brave the unknown, the world beyond the Nine Heavens and Ten Earths. Only there, in the mythical wilds, may they find the means to defeat Sinotech.

The Grand Kingdom is slowly awakening. But will it be too late?

This book is excellent. Just all around awesome. There is intrigue, plot twists, superpowers, detective work, you name it, this book has some of it. I’m SO glad I found this series and I can’t wait for the next book!

Best hidden gem I’ve ever stumbled onto

I really don't like the minimum word count requirements for audible reviews. . . .

Another amazing book from Jeremy. My only complaint is I don't have another book in this series to read. Can't wait for more!

Loved every minute

The author’s writing engages the listener and submerges you into the story. I look forward to listening to subsequent books in this series and other books written by the author.

Very good story!

Honestly, this genre isn’t in my usual tastes. I prefer fast action with crazy amounts of power being thrown around but this just seems to intrigue me more and more. I can’t wait to see when the next book comes out

Leaving me wanting more

I was browsing for something to spend my newly acquired credit on when I came across the first title in this series, and went into it expecting to be disappointed. Although the sample was enough to intrigue me, I didn’t think the story would enough to keep me interested. After a few chapters I came to be pleasantly surprised that I hadn’t wasted a credit and by the end of this title i can’t wait for the next.

And I have to say Travis baldree is just great at any title he does and the right narrator can really bring a good story to life for you. Of course individual judgment all boils down to personal experience and taste but in mine id say if you like this kind of stuff enough to listen to the sample you will most likely not be disappointed. I’ll will definitely be trying more from this author. Great work.

Randomly came across this series and gave it a shot and I loved it.

The MC, Wang Fan uninteresting and comes off as a beta male. In book 1, his supposed girlfriend dangles him like a yoyo by showing interest and then backing away many times, all the while he's all understanding on allowing this to continue to happen by rationalizing her behavior. Then, in book 2, she states that she knows she's a hottie and has gone out with several bad boys before and was hurt and was even married before and still he "understands". This woman is way high-maintenance and Wang Fan is more the fool for it.

It's hard to comprehend how he was ever allowed in the peacekeeping force, considering how often he puts himself in danger when accosting a deadly threat.

In this book, he got all riled-up after his friend discovered the person who murdered his sister and who Wang had wanted to avenge her death. However, when his friend brought this assassin to him so he could exact the justice he sought, he went into freeze mode debating the pros and cons of exacting the said justice he'd been seeking for many years, eventually, having the friend who brought the assassin to him to do the deed.

He also exhibits a tendency to clutch-up when encountering a threat, often rushing in and then flubbing his attack which again, in turns, compromises himself and his companions.

I'll not be following the series.

Teeribly-flawed MC
