Publisher's summary

Silk & Steel: Eroan, one of the last elven assassins, lives for one purpose: Kill the queen. He would have succeeded if not for her last line of defense: Prince Lysander. Why kill just the queen when he can kill them all? It would be simple, if not for the troubled and alluring dragon prince.

Iron & Fire: From his mother's cage to a human one, but Lysander's captors are the least of his concerns. Rumors of a monstrous bronze dragon ripple through human camps, a dragon tearing great holes in the world as though searching for something...or someone.

Amidst the greatest of elven victories, Eroan failed. But when rumors of the dragon prince's survival reach him, he must choose: Fight for his people or fight for the prince who nobody thought to save?

Blood & Ice: Lysander has never been free to choose his fate. That is about to change. Finally, he learns what it means to be emerald, but knowledge is power, and power whispers its seductive curse into the ear of a broken prince. But as the dragonkin rise under a new king, will Eroan and Lysander's boundless love save the world or destroy it forever?

Contains mature themes.

Great Gay Fantasy Fiction

I simply loved this series. The narrator was phenomenal. The storyline wasn't hard to follow and kept me on edge. Some strong themes adult themes and scenes but this is fantasy fiction.

Overall gods but needs more than just a “contains mature content” warning

I don’t normally like to leave comments but I do feel like people need to be warned. I like the queer enemy to lover vibe but was surprised by the heavy sexual assault and rape content, especially the detail it goes into. I don’t know if the print versions of these books have those kinds of warnings but the audio box set only has a mature warning which could quite literally mean anything. Other than that I did really like the character building, prospective shifts, and world building and though some plot points were kinda cliche, it was overall its own unique story. I do want people to be warned about the content though.

art is subjective

I hate leaving reviews because art is subjective and reviews are basically just opinion pieces. With that in mind, I went into this story knowing nothing and was taken surprise by lots of abuse, torture, assualt, sexual assault, & rape. I am not typically someone who gets triggered over fiction, but I think people should be warned. I listened to all 3 books and there were moments where I found myself wanting to know more and I wanted to finish it but overall this falls into enemies to lovers trope with rape, jealousy, and unjust vengeance from the MC's enemies. It was a predictable plot, in my opinion. If you want a story trope of enemies to lovers and don't mind excessive rape, you might enjoy this trilogy. I was bored by the end and won't be reading/listening to these again. The narator did a fantastic job, I knocked 1 star because the voice he uses for one of the enemies isn't consistent, but overall he does a great job breathing life into the characters

Needs Work

Very seldom do I feel the need to comment but, this story got me tweaked. The premises of the story was sound, however, the story was totally short . With 3 volumes, only 1 volume would have been needed for the basic story. All the sex and sadistic set and rape added nothing and I found it offensive. Using set of any kind to "fill a story" to me is poor writing and a waste of words and time.

Fabulous Dark Fantasy!

I wish I could read this again for the 1st time! Wonderful dark fantasy! There is quite a bit of SA, so check the trigger warnings. But the story is action packed and the love story between MMC's is so lovely.

One of the best MM fantasy adventures I've read

I have to recommend this series. One of the best MM stories I've read from mainstream publishing.

Stubborn broken dragon prince meets equally stubborn elven assassin with massive chip in shoulder and too much pride to know when to stop. They attempt to kill each other but seem to just keep saving the other instead. SLOW burn, SPICEY chemistry that delivers, ANGSTY as hell, bloody VIOLENT, species/race wars, surprisingly flavored with touch of alternate history. Psyco bad guys want to literally and metaphorically fuck the world. Warning this is not for faint of heart, very rapey bad guys. Almost all threats of violence and rape are met and the author does not cut away from most of it. Much healing and therapy needed for every character introduced, they fight on wonderfully inspite of it all.

Characters, world building, story, and plot are all very solid. Exciting and well paced. The audio book VA is amazing but im also buying the paperbacks because I enjoyed this that much. It's not perfect but certainly exactly what I had hoped for.

Great story. Great narration.

This was...intense.

I don't think I have seen a better example of how bigotry and willful ignorance can wreak havok on an entire civilization. The author doesn't have to use the terms misogyny, homophobia, or racism to clearly show how destructive blind hate can be. Social statement aside, this was a beautiful story about love, faith, and perseverance which Eroan and Lysander need in great quantity to survive because this series takes slow burn romance to epic levels.

Cornell Collins voice was wonderful to hear and the narration was beautifully performed. The combination of vivid imagery created by Ariana Nash and Cornell Collin's soothing tones made for a wonderful experience.

The Best of the Bundle

A perfect balance of war, love, sex, and magic.
Book 2 was a struggle for me, but this one made up for it. Bravo!
Nash is peerless when it comes to this genre.
