Publisher's summary

Special Agent Niki Banks has called in a favor, and now Taylor has a young hacker with an attitude as an employee. Along with new monsters to kill, a business to get off the ground, a relationship with an annoying FBI handler to...deal with, Taylor is becoming a surrogate male figure for a role he didn't want. But he may be the best man for the job.

Good book

I just wish that when they have female parts in these books that the guy doesn’t shut to fake a female voice if they’re not good at making it sound more feminine instead of just a guy trying to sound girly

Fast Paced

Just as entertaining and fast paced as the first book in the series - I'm gonna have to slow down on these if I want to have each book in succession already in my library ready to go once I finish one of them. Love Taylor's character type, and the supporting characters make the world even better with their interactions.

loved it!

It's like Jack Reacher with Mechs! The characters' attitudes and banter are great! Looking forward to finishing this series.

Good story and great narration..

Gotta love Taylor! He's funny and sarcastic. And when he talks to FBI Agent Niki Banks it's hysterical. And now he has Niki's cousin, Victoria Madison working for him Taylor has taken on someone as sarcastic as him, not to mention Bobbie's sarcastic mouth, too.
Taylor is busy taking jobs for the FBI killing monsters, that should actually be in the Zoo. At the same time the mob has sent to dumb-dumbs after Taylor, for him not paying protection for his company.

No romance and the F-bomb was used 114 times.

As for the narration: Derek Shoales is fabulous with the voices and the emotions when he reads.

not a full book

This feels more like the 1st few chapters introducing the story. The author clearly wrote this series and turned 1 book into +2. Narration is without emotion like a cop reading an after action report describing a fender bender instead of a shootout.

Crazy monsters and cool characters

It’s impressive that even between monster brawls the story still carries well. It’s an engaging world being built.
