About this listen

Are you a leader others will follow into Hell?

You can't lead others until you can first lead yourself. Leaders aren't born, they are created. Only through hard work, self-analysis, and a strategy of constant improvement can you become a leader that people will gladly follow through Hell.

This book is a compilation of lessons that I have learned while in the United States Marine Corps and the Fire Department, teachings from five academic degrees to include a Master's Degree in Leadership, and from working directly as a consultant in training companies in leadership strategies.

My goal with this book is to pass on what I have learned to those that are aspiring to become a better leader in their respective field, whether that be military, CEO of a large firm, start-up business, or a parent. Self-leadership is the key to success in any aspect of life.

Have you ever aspired to be:

  • A better leader
  • A better business owner
  • A better entrepreneur
  • A better husband or wife
  • A better father or mother
  • More successful
  • Or just a better person?

If so, then pick up this audiobook now and start putting the work in!

I really enjoyed the raw and realness of this book. The content is to the point and has applicable tools you can use to better yourself as a leader. The personal stories from the author as well as from many other successful leaders is what sets this book apart from other leadership books. Instead of just focusing on “how-to”, the stories make the book feel relatable. Self Leadership is a great book for those wanting to better themselves!

Highly motivational!

Ryan does an excellent job of combining his with other Mentors, Influencers, and Leaders perspectives, lessons, and hardships to really drive home the actual art of being a leader. It's shown me that I'm on the right path but still have lot's of room for improvement. Thank you Ryan.

You need a professional narrator to read your book. It was so painful trying to listen to this book with all of your awkward pauses that I couldn’t even finish it. The content may be worth while but unfortunately I’ll never know.

I've listened through the first couple chapters and what I've gathered is that if you are overweight or do anything other than work hard at everything leadership, you are failing and not capable of leadership until you correct those things. maybe its true, I've had several influential people that don't fit this mold, however. the author himself says that leaders don't fit a specific mold right before he digs into saying why he wont follow certain people. I would completely agree with this in the miiltary where the author started but out in the rest of the world this seems a little foolish. just struck me the wrong way. it felt more about why you wont be "successful" or rich rather than why or why you cant become a leader. there were some great points otherwise. I did like how he insisted that you write down what you want out of a leader and work toward those things. that was the only advice I heard that moved me. additionally i think this book needs a professional narrator. that alone could probably set the tone of the book with a better perspective.

its ok
