About this listen

Come for the vacation. Stay for the shenanigans!

Mermaids. Check.

Pirates, selkies, and demigods.

Check. Check. Check.

Come on an adventure with my mermaids and their unlikely heroes. Get three hilarious stories all in one big book!

Book 1 - Tallulah’s Temptation

Running a tourist trap for humans in the Bermuda Triangle had sounded like a fine plan - until it wasn’t. With the Sea Hags gunning for our island, I did what any desperate mermaid would do. I called for backup.

Unfortunately, they sent Pirate Doug, the scoundrel who pillaged our treasure along with my heart.

What in the Chicken of the Sea was I thinking?

Book 2 - Ariel’s Antics

What in a clam shell does a mermaid have to do to find true love?

Saving my island home is a must. However, the mission is to seek out the very selkie who stole my heart, the same asshat whose Johnson I’d tried to truncate.

Ask any tuna you happen to see. Who’s the craziest mermaid? That would be me.

Book 3 - Misty’s Mayhem

What’s love got to do with it? If you’re Cupid, everything. If you’re me, not a thing in the sea.

I don’t believe in love. Poseidon is smoking some bad seaweed if he expects me to take the one job I’m obviously not qualified for...the god of love.

Stay tuned because I’m about to give love a bad name.

WHAT A GREAT TRILOGY, SO FUNNY!!

Another great series by Robyn Peterman!! I love listening to her when I'm having a bad day because her writing always makes me laugh !! She also always has great narrators that "perform" the book rather than just read it. Thanks Robyn!!!

Light Entertaining Trilogy

Enjoyed having a trilogy where the 3 books link together (and was offered for only 1 audible credit…an added perk). This trilogy is about 3 sister mermaids who each fall in love. Humor is a sometimes a little quirky at but tolerable. (Robyn Peterman always gives the reader plenty of laughs in her books and has good endings). Her feel good books brings a good escape to a fantasy world where the reader/listener can connect. Here she has a mix of mythology and paranormals. Also having multiple narrators in this trilogy (each a different character) brought an added depth to the storytelling. They were all superb. Definitely will be following Robyn Peterman’s books. They are perfect for audible listening!

Great story telling

The author does a great job at pulling you into the story. I didn't want to stop listening.

Funny but not to deep

This is for the three books combined. I didn’t care for the first book much. Very little story line a whole lot of Johnson talk and what seemed like a competition for the more names a person my call a mans junk. The whole series has a serious obsession with the man tool but it becomes less prominent in. Like two and three. Those book have a better story line more depth and tons of snark. I love peterman for her sarcasm, witty comebacks and foul mouthed characters. This gets better as the series continues and I really liked the third book the best. The narrators did a great job except the voice of the bird lol. If your looking for a funny beach read to escape the day but not be taken to seriously this would probably be a great series for you.

3 Zany sea adventures

SEA SHENANIGANS is full of fun and lots of hilarious and zany characters. The imagination and imagery this author presents is brillant. So fun and super full of witty sarcasm and odd but loveavle characters with colorful vocabulary. 49 chapters of incredible narration from several different narrators that will keep you entertained and giggling from start to end. Can't get enough of these mermaids and their stories. Looking forward to lsitening to the next volume.

So outrageous and crazy you have to love it

There are some authors that you know will be a one-click for you, the reasons may vary, but you just know that their books are going to be something you want to read. Robyn Peterman falls into that category for me. No matter if it's vampires, shifters, witches or mermaids I know that when I pick up one of her books it will be so outrageous that I'm going to end up giggling like a school girl and loosing myself in her worlds and characters.

The Sea Shenanigans Collection is so crazy and outrageous that it had me laughing out loud and of course I had to share passages with my husband because why am I laughing like a crazy woman when he is trying to watch television or oh I don't know, sleep... All three books in this series are awesome and I will enjoy re-reading many times when I just need to let go of the craziness that is real life or just have some fun.

eh....

After really enjoying the midlife crisis series, I am having difficulty even getting through the second story in this book. The ridiculously insipid men are just too stupid.
They sound like Ninja Turtles.
Also the author's preferred phrases becomes far too repetitive here.
You feel me.
With a giggle.
And of course, an insatiable lust for Bob Barker.
I don't recommend this. I'm sorry for it.
I will try the author again but. ...

Great Road Trip Book with the wife!

Disclaimer, this is not my usual book genre however my wife and I were taking a road trip and it was one of four different audible selections I'd purchased for her to choose from. She decided on this 3-Book collection of Robyn Peterson's Sea Shenanigans books.

Sea folklore, beautiful mermaids, swashbuckling pirates (one that's a vampire/pirate who can only view the world based on the size of his johnson...). Throw in the hilarious stories & subplot diversions plus the outstanding ensemble cast narration and you have a winner!!

We laughed almost nonstop and thoroughly enjoyed the books. If you're looking for something lighthearted, entertaining and funny, you can't go wrong.
