Why do some people struggle financially while others become wealthy?
Saving, Spending, Investing, Giving isn't so much an investment audiobook as it is a heart-felt financial intervention.
It's as if Daniel Pecaut turned up at dinner and, like some long-lost kindly uncle, taken it upon himself to reveal to you one of life's biggest secrets: How money works, and how you can quickly start using it to your advantage.
Hidden in this audiobook are three generations of clear-sighted investment expertise (which began when Daniel's grandfather started making strides in the stock market in 1925).
Today, Daniel's message is clear: Optimize your thinking around money, and you can optimize your choices. Optimize your choices, and you optimize your life.
Saving, Spending, Investing, Giving is an audiobook for anyone looking to control their financial life. But it's specifically the audiobook for you if you want to:
- Absorb the key concepts around money in an hour or two, and then use simple action steps to make sure your new strategies are operational the very next day.
- Work towards becoming a competent value investor, business analyst, or entrepreneurial investor capable of protecting and growing your money over time.
- Apply proper money management to work towards getting out of debt, gaining control of your life, building positive wealth, and pursuing a larger vision of your future.
Written for Daniel's children, the roadmap is simple to understand, fast to apply, and more than capable of guiding you towards a positive financial future.

The author speaks at a personal level, recounting his experiences with a lifetime of saving and investment knowledge. Expect numerous tips on the importance of personal savings, how to think like an entrepreneurial investor, the miracle of compounding interest, etc. I particularly enjoyed the simple, down-to-earth financial instructions.
The latter sections of the book describe the culmination of the author's principles of wise resource allocation -- giving back. This is where things become more personally meaningful. The author describes helping specific causes such as nonprofits, indigenous American support, and emotional intelligence training for men. I really appreciated this section, as it tied in the earlier lessons about prudence, patience, and wisdom as a path to making an impact. This is where it all pays off as the author appears to be very fulfilled with the impacts he has made.
In short, this book will teach you how to think like an investor so you can have the personal resources to 'be the change you want to see'. I recommend it for anyone looking to understand the life changing impact of wise money management.
